Not easy to tell the Nannys from the Billys. Wiki says they're solitary animals but I've seen them from Banff to central CO and they were always in groups.

I had no idea they were transplants. I've also seen them at 9700' at La Jara Reservoir. A herd crossed the busy hiway there and several goats were nearly hit by lapsidazical drivers.

Well the Kaibab is 4 hrs from Crown King so guess I wont be surprised the next time I see a buffalo wander through there. Then it's your lucky day, get a hotel room, push the lucky envelope.

So sorry buddy. Wish you had caught them. I stopped at a busy Circle K once when I was a contractor. Asked my partner to stay in the truck since I wouldn't be able to see it from inside the store. He agreed and while I was waiting at the check out line a few minutes later, in he comes for f ing cigarettes. When I got out to the truck it was cleaned out. Welders, chop saw, torch you name it. Thieves should die.

Last time I gave a group a lesson in panning, this newbie found a gorgeous 3 gram nugget encrusted with quartz. I got jelly, joked with him that he'd have to share it with all 12 of us and man did his dark side come out fast. Was like a scene straight out of the Treasure of Sierra Madre.
