Find Mayer AZ on the map. A few miles SW out of Mayer towards Pine Flats you'll find Bull Rd/ Forest Lp202. Go about 2 miles south and you'll be at Bear Creek. Great area. Water, mature trees and great camping spots. Cabin ruins nearby and placer gold in the Creek. You'll probably have it to yourself.

Nothing prevents you from using your build in a rifle season. I solely used my Thompson Renegade sidelock .50 last cow season and the hunt was like getting reschooled in the 1850s. I know it's unpopular but I totally agree with state regs pushing back on modern rifle optics on muzzleloaders. I don't necessarily agree with iron sights though, since tubes were period optics in the 19th century. We are north of Surprise. Folks are asking why we're selling animals, saddles, etc... We just have too many. Not crazy to introduce a 10 year old to horsemanship, perfect age to get knowledgeable guidance from an instructor in equine care, tacking and riding. But an older horse is generally best for training a youngster. Zazzy is a performance oriented horse, sensitive to the touch and any miscues could result in some unexpected, rapid movements. Putting a novice rider of any age on a performance horse is not a safe option. But if you're on the west side of the valley and would like to introduce your girl or yourself to horses, please pm me.
