I had a similar situation with my TC Renegade. The metal tips on the factory ramrod are threaded in a shallow fashion onto a wooden dowel. I removed and sanded the glue off the wood, epoxyed the tips back on. A pin through them tips would've been a good idea too.

What are you shooting it thru? If you're just plinking, folks on other shooting forums swear they can shoot the .40 without issue. One fellow on Glock Talk claims he has shot 2500 .40s thru his 10mm Glock without a single issue. I'm not recommending it, I'm just passing along the 411.
