I remember hearing about a study that claimed bulls can lose up to 10 percent of antler growth on a drought year. This year being so dry, there is no doubt that horn growth will be down. There is no way it couldn't be. If they don't have the same nutrition, they can't put on the same growth...seems logical to me. Still would like to have a tag though!

I don't know any of this family, however I don't think its right to bring anyone other than the accused into it. We all know we are responsible for our own actions, we should leave it at that. If he's guilty, he's going to pay the price...don't take a page from the left and throw everyone that this guy knows under the bus too.

Anyone know when white bass were introduced? I have fished there since I was a kid and never caught one or heard of anyone catching them. Guessing it must have been after it went dry a few years back? I haven't had a chance to go since then...

Does anyone have info on why Wal-Mart mart and Big 5 will not sell my son a 2018 hunting license today? They said they won't sell them until tomorrow when they open??? Never had this problem in the past...how do you hunt on opening morning?

I went ahead and did it online, it was just so stupid that they wouldn't let us explain it to them even. I really like the idea of printing copies and having in packs and such. Thx for that...

Are the bulls not bugling anymore up there? You could probably go out at night and cruise around until you find some bulls talking. Mark the spot and get in there before daylight next morning. Most likely there will be some cows around those bulls you heard. They may not talk after daylight so try and get on em early. Good luck and hope it happens for your son! I am of the belief that they do get hoarse at times during the rut. When things are intense, they just flat out scream with rage and I'm sure their voice suffers from it. That being said, the same bull can and will sound like a completely different bull at times. I've seen it so many times, one time he will scream and snort and cough, the next time it sounds like a recording of what an elk is supposed to sound like. They just do whatever they feel like doing.... Another interesting thing I have witnessed is a bull go through a complete bugle st about 1/10th of his normal volume. Its really cool to watch, I've been really close( within 50 yds) and have had them do this several times. Im not sure the reason but its cool anyways.

I saw one taken out of unit 1 about 10 years ago. It was taken during the early muzzy hunt. The thing is a beast! I really think that was all he was ever gonna be, genetically he was.just a 5 point. I personally have always thought a great big 5 point is an awesome looking animal. I was hunting with the guys brother and his brother shot a nice 6 point, can't remember the score, but the 5X was so much more impressive looking. Oh ya, the guy that shot the bull was using my muzzy so in a way I kinda, sorta,took that bull
