I'm not big on scouting packages, most of the time they tell you a water hole or area, and believe me they won't be hunting anywhere close with full pay clients. . At least in 22 there are some money well spent packages up north and for different species. Flatlander gave great advice.

You get drawn , wait 3 yrs then back in, like elk in the 80's

Both can be great, elk will do what they want when they want, so as said above you have to be there, so 2 week hunt , then be there for 2 weeks if you can.

You would be happy in Christopher creek or pine..
