A big time Congratulations Casey.
Make sure when you get out in the field, it's important that the bad guys not be able to spot you easily, so don't wear the Grong orange shirt to work.

Not sure where it came from but That is a great idea.
Way to go AGFD

C'mon... This is why the RNC lost? I don't think it is this simple. This parody has been around for at least a year. Others are too.
Anything I say after this is not going to be heard by BO supporters since the libs are all brainwashed but her goes.
Funny how folks are screaming about this but they call Bush and Cheney racist, and claim they blew up the levees in N.O. for flood out minorities and were slow to respond because white people all left before the hurricane. No outcry from media or Dems about unfairness and unfounded lies. Yet BO gets a ditty tossed at him and it is different. This Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.
This is political satire (humor) and I agree it probably was not a smart move to put it on a CD like this but who ever said our legislators were smart. Slick yes, not smart.
Why don't you google How Obama Got Elected and you should see that a dozen ditties like this could not throw the whole "blame" on the RNC. The Blame is squarely on the uninformed, uneducated, media starstruck, sheeple that vote based on what they hear in a soundbite from Katie Perky Couric or Wolf Blitzem.
Lemmings did it and not to mention the AA's that voted for BO based ONLY on the color of his skin. That was more of a difference in the total votes.
Go ahead though, blame The RNC for this and while you're at it, you might as well wish Sarah Palin luck as she is the new VP according to some voters.

I ask because my new T3 lite in .243 gave me a misfire on Christmas eve. Drawing down on an antelope I was shooting with my sister in law, and my tikka just went "CLICK". The Safety was off and bolt fully locked. Since we both had tags, I pulled the trigger after she shot at hers and I drew the blank.
Anyway, I racked another in but the goats were moving so my shot was off. They flew the field, so I looked at the problem round and noted the round had a faint mark where the firing pin actually did hit the primer but MUCH lighter than normal.
I was shooting federal premium factory load ammo and had fired 2 times about an hour earlier. The gun has less than 15 rounds through it so I was very surprised. I googled Tikka and Misfire and got very little to go on. A couple notes of low temperatures maybe giving a proble with over lubricated bolts or a weak spring but this is just as factory new. I did fire one more round before dark but no problems with that one.
Any thoughts.

not only gun sales but ammunition and reloading supply sales have mushroomed is what I've read.
Whidh I'd bought stock in Remington, S&W etc... before PEBO was elected.

Scotty,
You were just a bit too far north, in montana. I'm loving it here in WY! OK maybe it is a bit cold out. -11 now with 30 mph wind and -47 wind chill. Very little snow with cold like this. The dogs go out to do their business and we have to go get them. They freeze in their tracks and look like "Help.... I've frozen and can't get back"....
I was Hunting yesterday in 53+ temps. That's why we say If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute, it'll change.
I find it's pretty easy to bundle up with warm clothes if you prepare. I just hope the car does not freeze up and the pipes don't bust. LOL
I'll check back with you in June or July

Tikka or Vanguard. I have the Tikka T3 lite also in .243 for varmints. Have not shot it much yet but gonna try it on and hope to get an antelope tomorrow with it.The action is smoother than any gun in the price range.
Well, I got out today to fill my antelope doe tag and spotted a heard of 75+ speedgoats in a field I had permission to hunt. Out in the open like that I could only get to within 350 yards. I crawled about 50 yards to get to a good spot and took about 10 minutes to find a doe that was not lined up with others that might also take a hit and I took the shot. The new Tikka was on the mark... sort of.
The antelope went down right away when hit and it was trying to get up but I was sure she was done for. The heard started running and she tried to get up and within 10 seconds she was chasing and up to full speed and circling back to get into the heard. After that we Lost her in the heard. We watched them for at least 30 minutes feeding about a hlaf mile away in the field but never saw one go down They ran for a couple minutes, fed more before they moved across the state line (yes the state line) so I could not pursue. We looked over the field and could not find any sign. I used a federal premium 100 gr sierra BTSP bullet and wonder if anyone has opinions or experience on these bullets?
Thats why they call it hunting, not killing.

Wow if only putting up decorations around my house was this easy, Click here, Click there... LOL

I'm Sure BO will step in and stand up for the hunters rights once he is in office. With Janet Napoloreno at his side.
BO - I just thought about this and BO not only stands for BarackObama, but also BendOver. As Tam said, the shaft is coming...

I think it has been said that we all go through dry spells sometimes but when they run that long (for me) I had to ask if I was shooting blanks or forgot to take the lens caps off.
Actually Dry spells are why it's called hunting, not killing.
Stick to this board and the rest of the time, get in the field and learn your terrain and quary. Make sure you take Jim and others up on their generous offers. Doing that, I think your dry spell is about to turn into a flood pretty fast.
Good luck.

Great ram and nice story. Did your research and put in some scouting time and it paid off.
I love it when a plan comes together. Big congratulations to you

Super idea and it just shows the character of folks on this site!

So AZ takes a big step in the right direction and the rest of the country gets a dose of NapoloReno. I did not get my president and now getting saddled with a new Homeland Security chief...
The only good news is At least in Wyoming, we already have secure homelands so he won't need to fix anything here.

Love the old picture and funny how with all the techno stuff we have now, looking back to the good old days...
No camo, Scentlock, radios, Gamecameras, scopes, etc... and many folks did well anyway.

Congratulations for sure on that buck and story. He looks quite healthy and seems to have a decent sized body too.
-
Great story and nice pair of bucks. I think Bryce is going to have a hard time beating that buck for his next one.
