-
Desertbull good question? I think that the card is the basis. I am sure they have a formula, but who knows how accurate it is.

Awesome pictures. If you pop a few more in between, you got the makings of a great Screensaver. A Day in AZ.

Welcome to the forum Vbraley! Try searching "San Carlos" in the search function. I seem to recall Amanda posting some info about 2-3 months ago for another question. Good info as I recall.

Very nice buck Scott. 50 yards? Isn't it funny how all the high dollar optics didn't get anywhere on your hunt and the naked eye pulls out a decent buck? Amanda is spendig so much time in the field, It sounds like she is gearing up for her 24A hunt! Ibet t will be a good one!

That is one of the largest 2 pointers I have seen. Thanks for the photos. another indication what a good year of rain can do for the wildlife in AZ.

Face it, we can get funding for our crappy professional football team (ha ha Professional...) but we are not going to get anything like that for the wildlife and conservation of. I think the TAX well is about dry. We have been taxed here, taxed there, and taxed every which way but loose. It seems the liberal answer to everything is add another tax and throw more money at any problem. Just in case the tax "well" has a little bit of juice left, I could propose another reason to milk the working public for the benefit of a small group. What about the AZ4life welfare fund? Administered for the benefit of selective native Arizonans who desire to commune with nature and remember the heritage of the outdoors in this great state. -
Awesome pictures. You sure must've got close to them to get that quality of picture. thanks

Great buck! 102" is definitely as shooter in almost anyone's book. Congratulations! I'd like to see some more pics. Is the left side somewhat palmated?

Redman Great story and amazing you even got him with a scope jarred out of whack 1 day before. Just a little help from your friends...
-
OH My Gosh! That is a monster. It is so stinking tall! And the body is just plain huge! Great Buck! Congratulations!
-
Super story and nice buck. I agree, you did make it sound easy. How about your other buddies? did they get anything?

Younghunter, Wounding an animal that cannot be recovered is something I do not hope to do. If he is still up and moving, and you have seen him since, I believe it is your duty as an ethical hunter to try and take him. (not to mention since he is a nice buck) I definetly wish you Good Luck in your quest! Take your time and don't let the buck fever take over!
-
Congratulations are defintely in order! Here is a nice handshake from me to you on that buck! That is an absolutely great buck. Nice mass and good length. What about weight? What was the full story? You said he was almost too soon? Nice picture too by the way. What did he score? I will guess in the 108 range.

Great news! You got the buck and now you got the pictures to post! thanks for sharing them!

Congratulations. It sounds like you had a great hunt! Just acording to plan! -
Well there is always the next time! The best day at work is still worse than the worst day hunting! Send the footage to Amanda and I am pretty sure she will post it on the video clip section.

I have to say I would Hunt. Last year I drew nothing, and in early November I got the chance to race in a car at PIR. I went to a Driving Experience and drove a busch series car around the track at races speeds for 30 laps. What a rush! The car had Power out the ying yang! Nascar is an Awesome experience for sure, but a grandstand race seat is no competition for hunting.

Just saw this on the news, and it is just what I expected. Big oil figure out how to Sell less, Make more and blame the weather. We got the drilling shaft from the oil rig on this one and it will be regular as clockwork from now on. ------------------------ DALLAS (AP) - Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) rewrote the corporate record books Thursday as the oil company's third-quarter earnings soared to almost $10 billion and it became the first public company ever with quarterly sales topping $100 billion. Anglo-Dutch competitor Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSA) wasn't far behind, posting a profit of $9 billion for the quarter. ... Thursday's outsized earnings are a result of surging oil and natural gas prices that pushed pump prices to record territory after Hurricane Katrina. They come on the heels of similar eye-popping gains reported this week by BP PLC (BP), ConocoPhillips Inc. and Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) Chevron Corp. (CVX) reports its earnings on Friday. ------------------------- OH My Gosh! NINE Billion $ here and NINE Billion there, pretty soon you got some real money! You know they will have to beat those profits next year, so you better stock up on gasoline in march for your scouting and hunting trips! 3.50 per gallon next year or more! GROAN.

This year is probably the best opportunity in the last decade. Great potential and lots of good bucks taken, but more out there too! Good Luck to you and enjoy the hunt!

Rembrandt has some good points as usual. Clearing some air, I for one do not harbor ill will toward any of the AGFD officers or working employees. These folks do great work and have a passion for what they do. I think being passionate about your work is a pre-requisite for the department. Political appointees... well the case is not so easy to make for them. I pray we in the sportsmen community have enough of a voice to be heard, and make a difference.
