It is amazing though that with all the buerocracy that they missed a clear answer. Seems like I saw something along the lines of what More D posted. Maybe that was another state?

Awesome Picture Huntscout! Love that fire, and the antler shadow on the tent after a long day. Keeper for sure. AZP&Y, That is a bit more sparse camp than I enjoy but certainly does have it's appeal none-the-less. Wish I had some pictures of camp to share but sadly I don't. My deer camp usually looks a lot like SunDevil's javelina camp. Could look very similar to a favorite spot in 24b! I usually toss up a great old 10x13 coleman oasis tent, (30 years and still great) set up a table or 2 with campstove and coolers, and ther you go. Not quite the gear for backpacking, but I will leave that for some younger pups.

Home equity loan is going in the gas tank every week. Hunting is going to be cheaper as NR in other states. I thought I heard the board chanting after the fees were approved... "SHOW ME DA MONEY!"

I've been wanting one of these projects closer than Tucson and now I'm going to be out of state during the lake pleasant clean-up. Let's Face it, the truth is this cleanup is a job that most Americans won't do. I think we need to offer $5.00 an hour to some illegals to clean it up. I can see it now, Guest Worker needed to clean up Illegal Guest Worker garbage.

I wonder if they will report the arrest to anohter GF office per the rules. PETA will be suing no doubt in the near future for excessive force.

I think Amanda did an upgrade to help deter future hackers. I noticed A few other things changed as well, mainly dealing with the look, but the members / assistant section seems to have changed the most.

Any rule change is bound to run for 3 seasons to determine its effectiveness before reverting re-adjusting. Commission order #7734-1111 ( to be approved ... errr voted on... in the next meeting) They will then lay that line on anyone who tries to push the issue back to a sensible balance. They got us by the short hair and they know it!

Thanks again to everyone for the wishes. For being at work, It was not a bad day. Daryl, I took your advice! Good Call Jim, I was off last week and naturally in Lowes a few times but only the one at 83rd & T-Bird. Those CWT decals are hard to miss when you see them! I think Amanda is up close to 100 of the large ones out there so you should be spotting a few more!

Well I blame illegal aliens for a lot of stuff but to me the Lake pleasant trash might be from just valley of the sun jerks that don't care about keeping our beautiful state, clean.

G & F article on reg changes
az4life replied to couesdiehard's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Actually I think they do get it! They GOT US with these new rules and you know they got what they wanted in the process. As bad as it could be for hunters, it could be a lot worse for the Game they are supposed to be managing. -

Brother's New Coues Mount
az4life replied to standman's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Great mount. It does look realistic and has great character. Thanks for sharing. -
I was told the GF said it was not a random sample therefore not representative. Interpretation= Not what they wanted to hear to further the AGFD plans/ I hope they at least decided to pass out KY at future meetings to make "changes" easier for AZ sportsmen. No, I was not at the meeting. Just hate to be jaded and cynical, but the way this was built up I did not believe this was going any way but what they have planned.

I only used mozilla firefox and had the virus zap me. first time for everything I guess. Norton did not catch it the first time but the worm started eating away my files in the few minutes I had it. Only lost 2 days of emails and part of a database plus... 2 Autocad files I was working on Iwas able to go back to saved versions from a few days earlier. Cost me about 10 hours work. Hard to restore those files with the DT's (withdrawal from no new posts to read) Thanks for all your efforts to correct the problem Amanda!
-
If you do not have an up to date anti-virus program, you are probably hosed! If you have no anti-vius, XP users might try to restore your system to an earlier point in time to repair any damage. We might go through discussion group withdrawals, but now might be a good time to review the rest of the site for changes! Amanda is aware of the situation and I am sure she is working on a fix.

yeah, and I also picked up a virus or 2. One was called bloodhound an the other one was some sort of worm. Did anyone else get an email from the site something about a online card has been created.... That is when all the crap hit the fan and I cannot get in at all without going to the main page.

Safety first, and last is what I feel best with. Basically if I am hunting, the round is ready to fire with a simple safety click. Sitting, glassing, gun is nearby with chamber filled and safety on. Walking, stalking, still hunting, ready to see game, I'm primed with safety on. Hiking or climbing is another case. When I am focussing on where to step, and what to hold on to, I pull the round from the chamber but still put safety on.

As lots of posts have said, sportsmen need to work with the AGFD and the AGFD needs to work with sportsmen. Many sportsmen and sportswomen may be screaming about the impact to "me" but "me" is really representative of a large group of hunters, not jsut one. I believe we agree that Listening to many sides and viewpoints of the discussion gives us all good insight. The fact that this thread and others similar are hot topics shows we are all looking for more information. Open minds lead to discussions. IF AGFD has chosen to dismiss the survey information as well as the public opinion that has already been voiced on the proposed changes, that is not a good example of cooperation and education. Painting each unit with the same broad stokes is not what most would call progressive insightful management. One of Daves points was: These things said, I will be impressed and surprised if they adjust the proposals at all. I will be the first to say "well done" if they take Any of the input for more than a fly in their soup. If no adjsutments are made, the only "treatment" we are likely to recieve will require you to turn your head and cough.

I agree with DesertBull. Why do they have to manage every unit the same way. Read back and you will see the unit manager recommendations were carbon copies that they were forced to their unit plans. Twernt foolin no one! This whole thing is not about managing the game resources, it is about managing the money. I too wonder if this will ever give opportunity to new hunters and can only believe it will ruin the experience for more than it will improve. AZGFD seems to have made up their plans even in the face of the overwhelming hunter opposition and it would not surprise me if the meeting is just window dressing. Everyone who can should show up to the meeting, and let these burrocrats know they are in for a rough ride in the future when they stick it to us.
