    Water holes

In my opinion its way to much work when there is already plenty of water in the desert, you just have to find it. The amount of work it will take to keep a tank full and functional will consume you alive, plus, WHEN someone else finds it, your spot is no longer a secret. If you think there will be a pay out, put the work in and see what it produces. There are just way to many cattle ponds, seeps, springs and drinkers to go do all that work.

    Goulds Turkey Populations

Correct, Goulds turkeys are more durable and more heartier. Merriams are to soft, they need to toughen up! Gould's are taking over many area which is very exciting to see!.

    Goulds Turkey Populations

Regardless of what the Game and Fish numbers project, Goulds Turkey populations are doing spectacular in Southern Arizona, and mostly throughout the entire state. In the first picture you can see a Bobcat (in the right of the picture) eyeballing the group of turkeys. In total there was 11 turkeys in this group. I have watched turkey population increase significantly over the past 5 years in many units.

You can't find one sitting at home. Head out, you never know what you might find. I called in and killed my first Mt Lion last year on the OTC bear hunt. You never know.

    spring draw hunts

Fall hunts are hands down your best odds of finding good bears. Plus in the fall hunts there are most opportunities to glass, given that bears like to feed on pears if the year is right. Draw hunts are very hot, and very difficult to hunt. Takes a lot of work and time. Fall hunt provides way more opportunities at a good bear and less amount of invested time in comparison to the draw hunt.

Rage broad-heads have been very good for me for the past 5 years. I use a goldtip arrow, xt-hunters 5575.
  17. You hit it on the nail. To many hunters out there now a days are resentful and jealous because you beat them to a "spot" and got your stand/camera out before they did, so now because they are pissed off that you beat them to the spot, they decide to claim your crap (steal it) or take legal action (steal it) for their own gains. Too many d bags out there. But you know what, on the bright side Karma is a bitch. These "hunters" that act like d-bags are probably the ones not harvesting crap, which makes them even more angry. That karma will catch up to those camera/tree stand thieves when they have their trucks broken into by someone else or have something stolen of theirs. Btw I had 6 cameras stolen last year. With that said, Bownut, treat the situation like you would like it to be handled if it was your spot. Leave the man a courtesy note, but by all means hunt the spot.

    Optics

If you can afford them, get the Vortex 10x42 Vipers, definitely one of the finer glasses out there and well worth it. They run around $550 new, but im sure you could get a deal on a pair of used ones. I use the vipers and they are legit. Huge difference going from a pair of diamondbacks to going with Vipers.

    moultries newest cheapest camera

For the money, the camera works fine and takes pictures. However, the huge draw backs when you go "cheap" is you lose a lot of nice features. The A-5 game spy has a delay of 1 minute, therefore, the camera cannot take a picture for an entire minute after it has taken the first picture (Other cameras only have a delay of a few seconds). If you have the camera on a trail you'll only likely get one picture of whatever comes by and you'll probably get the butt end given that the A-5 has a 2 second trigger speed (others cameras have .6-1sec trigger speeds). What this means is that from the moment that the cameras sensors pick up movement, it takes 2 seconds for the camera to take a picture. Also If you note in the nighttime picture, the Infra-red resolution is poor because the camera only has 12 low-glow IR LED lights, while other cameras like bushnells have 32 IR LED lights that provide excellent nighttime pictures. When its all said in done, you can't beat the price on these moutlrie cameras. It gets the job done depending on what you intend to use if for, I would not recommend this camera to be used on a trail due to slow trigger speed and delay time, unless you are facing right into the trail. On a salt lick this camera works fine as elkaholic pictures show.

    37a deer hunters

I tagged a 4x4 on opening day, within the first hour of the hunt. I couldn't pass him at 20 yards. He was a fighter cause he had two points broken. Now the waiting game.
