Wireless trail camera question....prior to opener.
Bitter24 posted a topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
First off hello everyone, so got some trail cams up today and came to the realization that hiking into the back country mountains to find the deer other people dont hike too, well there is a reason people dont normally go there its BRUTAL. So anyone use the wireless trail cams? If so and pros and cons of them? What models etc. Really want to get some pics of the deer using the area, and for a flat lander that moved to mountains well is a workout no doubt. But well worth it. Just think switching to wireless is worth it. Any info you can pass on would be great. Thanks in advance. Bitter -
I use motion x, never tried the cabelas app though

Just wondering for my uncle who moved to AZ but does not yet have residency, and would prefer not to buy a non resident CWT rifle tag. How fast do the left over tags sell out (typically) for unit 30A. He will have resdency shortly after they go on sale july 29. So the question is do the sell out quick where he should just bite the bullet and pay extra or do they normally last for a little while? Thanks for any info -

Bigorange, thank you for that info and i will be checking into that. Thanks! -
Found this set laying under a cedar tree while at work. Never saw matched pair laying within a foot of each other. So i just moved to AZ within last two years and FINALLY getting out scouting and such. Totally different for me since i moved from WI. So how is this set seems good size for a CWT, though still seem small compared to the WT im used too seeing. Though look forward to chasing the grey ghost finally.

Thanks for the help so far guys and thanks AZlance for the reply. Never heard that you couldn't have cameras there before mulepackhunter, are you talking the preserves or any public land like national forest and BLM. I've knly lived in AZ for a year in half now and finally to a point with work where I can start focusing some time on scouting and hunting. Just thinking with working +/- 100 hours a pay period would be nice to have wireless cams so I can have instant feedback and not hiking up in the mountains to pull cards and replace batteries as often. I do enough hiking mountains at work that it would be nice to not have to so often on my days off. Just trying to figure out the best course of action as far as which cameras. -
Alpinebullwinkle, i work on the the border playing adult style hide and go seek with people and narcotics. So I end up walking a lot of miles some nights through some AMAZING land that has all kinds of wildlife in it.

Thank you! -
You called it using my phone to post the pics, interesting fact thanks for the heads up. It is different but dont mind it one bit just a different style of hunting, and half sized deer lol. Though thinking def need to go wireless trail cams really dont want to hile a mountain everytime just to check the SD card. So far i found 5 sheds at work, so three other besides these two but they were small. These seem to me to be a shooter buck.
