Thanks, for the post. I figured having my hands free while climbing has to be better and easier. -

Who's Not Afraid to Hunt Down South?
Bitter24 replied to John O's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Why is everyone so freaked out about hunting near the border, its part of living in AZ. Your going to see illegals. You will probably end up finding dope (if you do some hiking at any point). You stand a better chance breaking a ankle vs being attacked. If the mulies are able to get close enough to you for something to happen then you werent looking very hard. Call it in to BP and go back to hunting. Just my thoughts though some people will disagree and thats fine. -
Got my bow tuned up, got her hitting easy at 50 yards and fine tuning 60. The hunting room is a mess after finding and locating everything I'll need to track down that ole boy. Going be hitting up 35A the first few days of the season, then try out my luck up high in 30A where no one else goes besides illegals, and BP. Besides I couldnt ask for a better birthday present then arrowing a buck on my bday opening weekend.

Got the first four days off, and be out looking for a nice buck. Cant wait, whether I arrow something or not be nice to be back out.

I know that I cant wait little over a month in half away till opener!! Gotta go check my trail cams here soon to see whats on them, hopefully a shooter. Anyone else going out in 35B, 30B, or 30A. Still deceding where I want to hunt at but it'll be one of those. Haha. Good luck to all who those the look to lace a deer with a arrow! Once i check my cams ill post pics up being glassing a lot of doe's not too many bucks yet. Though really want a velvet buck.

Hey guys and gals, This is the first time I will be hunting deer in AZ. I drew a tag for the 30A mule hunt, which apparently has a lot of left over tags. I know the southern half of that unit pretty well. Just wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions to hunting mulies in that unit during the later half of Nov. Would it be better to hunt water holes, spot and stalk, or when is the rut for mulies in this state? I plan on doing A LOT of scouting prior to my hunt to try and locate/pattern a buck. Though thought it was worth a shot to ask. Thanks Bitter

Thanks, for the info. Does no one else hunt 30A?
-
This unit has been sold fyi

I drew 30A nov 15-21. First time hunting mule deer!
-
Thanks a few more days to go then.
-
Any idea how long it takes to post the results after cards are hit? This is my first time dealing with the draw in AZ.
-
I should have either late Dec coues tag, or late nov muley tag both would be in 30A. Now just gotta see which one?!?
-
You won't be able to find out what you drew until the draw is completed. I'm guessing the guys that are posting what they drew only put in for a couple hunts so they can narrow it down. For example I only put in for two hunts, both in the same unit and both in November, so if my card gets hit I will know I drew 37a either early or late Nov. hope that helps, for now you'll just have to be stoked you got a tag, and soon you'll be able to find out what that tag is! Thanks for that info makes perfect sense! Cant wait for this year

Wierd my card was hit, but can get results for what I drew. The custmer service lady said results werent out yet and no cards were hit, lol I was like ummm my card was so want to know what i drew. She never told me.
