I second the "build your own" idea. You can get exactly what you want and have fun putting it together. Building AR's is addicting.

New Reloader Questions
Kingzero replied to CouesPursuit's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
It all depends on what you want. Some are good with 1" groups while others demand more. Both groups are sub .75 moa and with a little more work you may be able to get .5 moa. The real test is when you take a load to distance. They might group well at 100 but open up when you push them farther. Shoot a couple groups at 300 to give you an idea of performance. For seating depth I usually start with the bullet touching the lands (if mag allows) and then back off 0.010" at a time up to 0.050" and load 5 rounds of each length. In a hunting rifle you want at least 0.010" from touching to avoid pulling a bullet and dumping powder in your action. I have never used RL22 so I can't comment but Retumbo is my go to powder for my 7mag. Don't rely on what the manual says for your scope/ reticle. Shoot each distance and verify drops to be sure. -
For a while now I have been thinking about doing something like long range geocaching. I think it would be fun, but wanted to post it here and see how many would be interested in participating. I would go out and stage a steel target and then post the GPS coordinates of the shooting spot and range to the target. You would have to drive to the coordinates, locate the target and engage. Afterwards, post pics and/ or list rifle and cartridge you shot it with. Targets would probably stay in place for a couple weeks. The target would be my 12"x12" ar500 since it's the cheapest one I own and the cheapest one to replace if some A-hole decides to take it. I would probably keep the distances between 400 and 600 yards but will go further if requested. You would be welcome to stretch it out as much as you like as long as it's safe to do so. This would most likely stay on the East side.....Gold Canyon to Superior and down to Florence.....maybe even up past Sunflower. If there is enough interest I might be able to recruit a buddy to stage targets on the West side. Let me know if you would be interested in participating in something like this.

A2 stock with tube, spring and buffer...great condition other than the Krylon paint.....SOLD. 6 position stock with tube. Been Cerakoted Graphite black but shows wear....SOLD. Shockwave brace and pistol tube. Excellent condition but tube does have small dimple from brace set screw. Have ATF letter that came with it......SOLD Olympic stainless heavy barrel 9 twist, threaded 1/2-28 and comes with gas block. Gas block was a railed type and has been modified to fit under a handguard. Has some Krylon on it. I have gotten 1/2 - 3/4 moa with this barrel with 40 to 55 grain bullets. Round count is around 400......SOLD. Located in Apache Junction.

the block is from being killed in a predator calling tournament. Your right......don't know why I didn't think of that. All the comps I've been in used pvc pipe.

A buddy and I came across something similar last September while predator hunting. There was a large box wrapped with a blue tarp and duct tape and the tell tale smell of rotting carcass. It turned out to be a dog that someone went through a lot of trouble to dispose of. That one however, looks more suspect because of the block and zip tie......kinda creepy.

Ill take the Redrock assault pack. PM sent

I might know where this is.

I wouldn't set up at my "spots". I would find an accessible place to shoot from and hike into the desert with my target and set it up in a safe location. The targets will be set away from any roads and trails to minimize the chances of someone finding them.

Remington 700 16in 308 with AICS and Silencerco Omega
Kingzero replied to cactusjack's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Looks great, 16" 308's are fun. Brad and Keith at Phoenix Custom Rifles will get you squared away. They are in Tempe. -
I like it....I used to go there almost every Monday. Check the targets before you shoot. I was there a 2 weeks ago and a couple targets were shot out. The bull elk, an antelope and a sheep had softball size hole in it. Edit.....sorry, thought you were asking about the course. I have no experience with the league.

Cases getting stuck in chamber
Kingzero replied to 257wby's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Maybe the chamber or primary extraction not timed right. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=szy4HBg3q80 -
Don't skimp on the release agent and use good epoxy. There are some good videos on YouTube.

Sure, I'll just post it here incase anyone else is curious. Quarter Circle 10 GSF lower, bolt and 5.5" barrel. Seekins upper and 7" handguard Magpul Moe stock, grip and flip up sights Wolff 10% extra power spring Heavy Buffers 9oz extended stainless buffer. Worked over mil-spec trigger KNS trigger pins Mil-spec buffer tube Aimpoint ACO Let me know if you want to know anything else.

It's a custom I built on a Quarter Circle 10 Glock pattern lower. It has a 5.5" barrel so this is a SBR with all the NFA trimmings. I am extremely happy with it and it is more accurate than I anticipated. This is a 7 shot group at 50 yards with iron sights.

PRGC Hunting Rifle Shoot Nov 13th
Kingzero replied to Mike S's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Im going to try and make this one. Sounds like a good time. -
Contact Mr. Silencer like said above. Bruce is very knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have. If you have a good dealer then the whole process should be simple and straight forward. What you get all depends on your wants and needs, and how much will depend on what suppressor meets those wants and needs. If you want light weight, then titanium is the way to go but you will pay for it. If you want a quick detach design then it will cost more than a direct thread. I would take a serious look a the ThunderBeast Ultra series........very nice cans and are designed with accuracy being the main focus. I forgot wait time.....not sure right now but I just pickes up my Octane 45 two weeks ago and the wait was 5 months. Along with the new laws regarding finger prints and photos, I believe you also have to notify the chief LEO of your purchase. How that notification works is still a mystery.

Decided that the black and stainless was a little too bland so I ordered some Cerakote and this is the result. The chassis is Noveske Bazooka Green and the barreled action is Magpul FDE.
