As I've said before, watch Jeanine Pirro video when she speaks at the NRA Convention. -
That's a good deal for that rig !

I like pictures with the hunter sitting closer to the animal, just me. Great bull.

Tuff Hunt so far (22)** Hunt update** with a few pics**
muley224 replied to olmos1010's topic in Elk Hunting
Check the area off the control rd out of tonto village where the dude burn was also. We took 7 bulls in 6 days on the early hunt there. Up towards Hells gate from the control rd also. Its gotten thick in there since that burn many years ago. -
I'm with drebo ! We've all tried moving these bulls around on the ground, let alone lift it on the roof of a jeep !

I have used this type heater for over 20+ years. The older ones were square. Have had hunts where we have had 2 going all night in our outfitters tent. We always make sure that the tent is well ventilated and have never had any issues at all.

Just make sure you pay attention to the wind direction on your stalk. Also pay attention to the does, if any with him, they can bust you quite often. Good luck.

I agree. Got a brochure from an outfitter since I drew a late Kaibab tag. All the pics are taken tilted way out in front of the hunter like this one. Some of the bucks are probably in the 160 range. Eastmans Journal years ago had an article on proper photo taking. It taught me alot.

I will just answer the first question for you Pixman. Would have to say Coues. Ears give it away for me. Have chased Mulies for a long time and strikes me as a Coues. Just my 2 cents.

question about auto repairs versus buying a new car
muley224 replied to naturegirl's topic in The Campfire
Hey Naturegirl. I have been in the automobile biz for 40+ years. That estimate sounds very high. You could call my mechanic that has done my work for 30 years. He is very good. For what you would pay for a new one, it would be worth it to fix the Highlander. 73k miles is not very much. If she trades it in with the issue it has, they wont give you very much for it. The mech. is Sundance automotive. His name is John. 602-340-0966. Its worth a try. Tell him Jeff at Wallys used cars sent you. -
I received this email this morning. Originated from Phil Shoemaker, Grizzly Skins of Alaska. This letter was received by one of their past hunters that is currently in Zimbabwe.

Try the " Jolly Sink " area. up top. 205 rd. Burned in there. Draws across from Vermillion Cliffs is actually 12b until you start up the switchbacks or down past the House rock buffalo ranch to the south. Deer are usually not that far down on that hunt. Hunt from the eastside game trail up. I have actually been on the late hunt in that unit and none of the deer were down. Took a 175 buck around Jolly Sink. I believe a few years back one of the Auction tag holders took a 200 + buck in Velvet around Jolly Sink.

In my 25+ years in those units it varies from year to year. Anywhere from mid November to early December. Smaller bucks usually are before the bigger bucks.

Thats good livin ! Did he do good on the hunts ?

Thanks, dont know the man.

Dont you lose your bonus points since you drew 2 22 tags? Maybe I'm reading your post wrong.

Got second choice, 12BW late, 12AE late was first choice. My brother had it last year and we saw some toads ! Hope for a big migration. We drew the last 2 tags ! 79 and 80 out of 80 ! One good thing about the 4 month wait is it comes before Christmas. Congrats to all !

Regs actually state that the tags are mailed out by the 7th of Aug.
