Air Gun coming to archery seasons in AZ

I didn't think crossbows were legal during archery season. Meaning this would not be legal during archery season either?

    Remington 300 RUM Brass

Nosler brass in .300RUM are in 25 packs. I have never seen them less than $70/box. Making them about $3/as after tax or shipping. I remember when people were paying $3 each for once fired brass on here. And Remington brass is almost non-existant in New brass. My Remington brass are on the 7-8th firings, and of the 120 pieces I had, about 106 are still in good shape. And I have always run hot loads. I think $150 is pretty fair for 50 pieces of Rem new .300RUM brass right now. $210 was hayday pricing, but I am pretty sure the OP is being honest on what he paid a few years ago. If I needed some, I would consider this. It might just outlast Nosler brass.

Good Lord....What Is Wrong With ME???

For that one dummy round, I just took a FL sized Hornady case, and necked it down with a .291" bushing that I use for my 6.5SLR/6.5CM/6.5SS. Then, an intermediate bushing to .285" that I use for .25-06AI, then I bought a .270" & .271" bushing fpr the die set. I am not sure what the Lapua brass neck thickness will be, but the Hornady was only .014", and the .271" barely held the bullet. The .270" held neck tension better. Hopefully, the Lapua will be .015"-.016" neck thickness.

Good Lord....What Is Wrong With ME???

Parts/components are starting to make their way in... 6CM w 110 SMK vs 6.5SLR W 140 HVLD Meplat is pretty pointed on the 110 SMK, but not really any more than the 6.5mm 142. I know the 6.5mm 142 SMK works great on game from jackrabbit to mule deer. T-B: 6mm 110 SMK, 6.5MM 142 SMK, 6.5MM 150 SMK

Good Lord....What Is Wrong With ME???

Huge thanks to Yotebuster. I was going to buy a used March F1 3-24×52 last night, and got too busy. Yotebuster and I have been talking about the March line for a while, and he PMed me this morning about it. He got us both a good discount, and saved me 20% on a new one, making it $100 cheaper than the used one. So we both pulled the trigger on a new March this morning. Thanks Ben!

Good Lord....What Is Wrong With ME???

Never used it. I have read a lot about it. High brass content for slightly lower case volume, but supposed to be pretty good stuff. But I KNOW Lapua is great stuff.

Maybe next, I will try and go really light weight. But for me, a 10# rifle is pretty darn light.

    WTB Remington 700 30-06

.240 Weatherby, .25-06, .270, .280, 30-06, 8mm Mauser, 35 Whelen. All are long action & .473" bolt face. Try pawn shops for some beat up rifles if you are just going to tear it apart. That is what I did when building my .25-06AI. And think long and hard about a 6.5-06AI or 6.5-.270AI or 6.5-.280AI.

  22. Please pick a few questions and feel free to answer a couple for her interviews. Pro Hunting side of a debate with a bunch of left-wing millennials. Answer one, answer 10, answer all 16. Whatever time you can spare will be appreciated. Interview Questions: 1. What comes to mind when I say hunting? 2. Do you think there are good reasons to hunt? Why or why not? 3. How can hunting effect the environment and ecosystem? 4. How can animal populations be affected through hunting? 5. Can families be affected from hunting? 6. Could animals be damaged or benefit from hunting? 7. Could the wildlife conservation funds be raised and funded without hunters? How or how not? 8. Could buying meat from the supermarket be a substitute for hunting for meat? 9. Are there any long term effects that hunting can cause for years and generations to come? 10. What are your opinions on hunting animals that are not used for food, such as fur bearing or predatory animals? 11. What are your thoughts on importing exotic animals for the sole purpose of hunting? 12. What do you feel on the breeding of animals for trophy hunting? 13. As stated by Ashley Capps Hunting in Wildlife Population Control and Ethical Eating The animals live a completely natural life just as nature intended, and, according to hunters, generally die more quickly, and with less fear and pain, than they would experience with other predators How do you feel about this comment on hunting? 14. As stated by Ashley Capps Hunting in Wildlife Population Control and Ethical Eating Hunting animals for food is unnecessary, and, like farming animals, constitutes the infliction of violence and death on animals we have no need to harm at all How do you feel about this claim? 15. As stated by Ashley Capps Hunting in Wildlife Population Control and Ethical Eating American men do not hunt out of necessity; they typically do not hunt to protect people or animals, nor to keep themselves or their families from going hungry. Rather, they pursue hunting for its own sake, as a sport A close reading of the hunting literature, however, reveals that hunters eat the flesh of their kills as an ex post facto attempt at morally legitimating an activity they pursue for its own sake. The hunter often portrays himself as providing for his family through a successful kill and harvest. How do you feel about this comment? 16. Is there any other info you have or is there anything else you would like to add?

    Barrels

I really only have 6 centerfire rifles of my own now, adding #7 this year. But I get to shoot a LOT of rounds a year. .223 (varmints, steel, javelina no clue on round count, well over 4000) 6.5 SLR (steel, deer, varmints, rides in my truck a lot 1800+ rounds) 6.5 SS (antelope, deer, coyotes, could do elk-227 rounds) .280AI (deer, elk-281 rounds) 7RM (deer, elk-427 rounds) .300RUM (long range elk, a few coyotes too-1300+ rounds w. Barrel swap @ 920) Adding a 6mm to the stable for long range varmints, deer, antelope, javelina, and long range steel) planning on shooting it quite a bit.

Anyone use a March rifle scope

The problem in the past was there was only 1 US dealer that carried them. 1st was Kelbly's then Bullets.com. Bullets.com was nearly impossible to deal with, and they did March no service with their attitudes. Well, Bullets.com is going out of business, and March saw the light and got a few new suppliers. They are Japanese glass, not Euro glass, but they are absolutely top notch. And....they are short and light! Reticle choices are so-so. Eye box on the 42mm versions is said to be very tight, and parallax is very touchy. The 52mm versions are much better. The scope going on my new build I am working on will be the March F1 3-24×52 FFP FML-1. Very hard to beat an 8x erector, 24oz, and 12+" in length, all with great glass.
