    Food for Thought

637 yards. One and done, DRT. Shot by an experienced long range shooter at the ripe old age of 14. With a known rifle and load workup. 662 yards. One and done. Went maybe 50 yards. Bullet placement was within 1" of POA.

    Shout Out to Lance Kenyon

Seriously, my pleasure in answering the questions I can help with. That "unlimited questions" deal was a good one. And I got some good laughs reading this right now too. Accuracy counts for shotguns as much as for rifles....

7mm Mag Tikka t3 Load Data?

    I have had good luck with RL22, RL23, RL26, and of course, H1000. My personal load is a 180 Hybrid over 69.0gr. H1000 @ 2996fps.

Good Lord....What Is Wrong With ME???

If you haven't looked through a Tangent Theta, I can't explain it. Think Premier, or Hensoldt, or S&B....but clearer. Yes ...that clear. Color/contrast/depth of field/lack of CA are best available. Tracking is perfection. Turrets...amazing. 27oz is not too bad for an absolutely top end FFP illuminated reticle scope. Compact. Low profile turrets. Zero stop. Second rotation indicator. Windage direction indicator. Illuminated reticle. MIL/MIL or MOA/MOA available. 12MIL will get me past 1250 yards with a 105-115 bullet @ 3000fps. Plenty for hunting.

2017: What is your bull goal this year?

So, with 26 full days of scouting, and only seeing 4 mature bulls, I pulled the trigger on opening evening on one of the best bulls I had seen in the area I was hunting. 6x7 mature bull. I know of a couple bigger ones that were being pursued, but not many out there. I am thrilled with the bull I took, and with family and my 2 best hunting buddies present. Taylor and my cousin, Leon.

No need to have the reticle to use the rangefinder and vice versa.

    Field Scoring antelope

Pronghorn definitely shed the sheath. Rare to find them since they deteriorate quicker than bone. But I have one I found in 7W years ago.

    Buck Officially Scored 200 0/8" gross 197 4/8" net

come on 20 days your no fun. 20 mins was ok cause I was just hitting the sack. so now I had another thought that came up. if both deer were taken then it would probably look awsum in a dual mount up on a custom pedestal mount with 2 hanging evidence tags on it, turn the fan on so it shows the tags moving around a little bit and it would look more of a live mount that he liked but couldnt afford to get. well if you use your imagination they would simulate a live mount off topic would that be a hoot to go into G&F's evidence room and set them mounts up like a display in Cabelas, having Name tags on plaques in front of the animal with the stats of the PERP who killed it what charges they scored. maybe a small story behind it. maybe some before and after trailcam pics of the PERP going in and carrying it out. People would pay good money for that. I would go see that exhibit. I know at the G&F Outdoor Expo a few years ago, and maybe at the AZ State Fair too, they had a poaching exhibit with names and photos.

    Mid Life/wife crisis Question

Arizona has a divorce rate of almost 50%. A 50/50 chance that some here will meet that fate. Say goodbye to the camper trailer. Standing in front of a Judge, and being ordered to sell, or give 50% of your assets away, including gun collections, in which she never invested a dime in. Yeah....I got hung by a brand new rope, and I will bitch about it for a long time. Personally, I will never put myself in a position of losing anything to a woman again. Nothing against you, but this is one of the saddest posts I have seen. Sorry you got a bad one. I have been with my wife for 31 years, and can't even imagine life without her.

    Mid Life/wife crisis Question

I have not reread all.of this since my last.post.....but.... For the guys saying "dump the wife"....you guys would bitch about getting hanged with a new rope! Wife wants to buy him a new truck and trailer for comfortable hunting? And you want to ditch her? WTF is there to complain about???? She is a keeper in my book. Come back from hunting to a hot shower, hot meal, comfortable bed, and maybe a little lovin'? Win/win situation.

    Rangefinders

Or 2000.... I have a Leica 1600B that I have had for a few years. I can range deer and elk out to 1800 or so with it. Small, light, fast. Fits in a t-shirt pocket. You can pick them up for way cheaper than the original $700 price tag now. I just got a BR7 G2, and have yet to take it and stretch it out, but was getting readings on some rocks past 2000 with it.
