For pre-hunt photos, the best attractant is a tag in your safe. But once season gets close and opens and you remove the tag from the safe and transfer it to your wallet, it quickly turns into a repellent.

I have found arrow stubs w. broadheads totally encased in scar tissue through vitals in bulls before. Amazing they can survive that amount of trauma. I also shot a deer a long time ago. Shot was way too far back. I knew it, so we let the deer lay up overnight. The next morning, found that buck 100 yards stone dead. Not a drop of blood on the outside, but broadhead had cut the femoral artery on the offside in the body cavity. It bled out inside quickly.

Angora Goat Billy @ 56 yards and Black Hawaiian Ram @ 86 yards.

I think so. Sounds right. It is around Perris, CA. That photo was taken about 14-15 years ago. We had 6" of rain the first day, 8" the second day. CA was having huge mudslides all over the state.

My father-in-law used to tell everyone he pulled 140# during archery season. Then he would point at me and say, "I pull his scrawny butt all over the place". I miss that guy every day.

I took my pronghorn to SW Wildlife on Stanley's recommendation. After seeing this, I think I made the right choice.

When Paige (my older daughter who was a 3 time AZ state 3D champion including the Triple Crown in her age groups) was 12, she took a cow elk with her bow. 40# limbs, but with her draw length, it was a 38# bow. Cut on contact broadheads on light carbon arrows, the arrow was almost a complete passthrough @ 22 yards. Arrow held in by the fletchings when the cow took off. Double lung, no ribs. Cow went 30 yards. Also took a sheep @ 56 yards with the same setup. That was a crazy hunt.

There already is....

Yay! More laws....that people will blatantly break and get away with.

Admitting you have a problem means you want help....I never said I wanted help to stop. RBA (Rifle Builders Anonymous) is for quitters. My Dad taught me to never give up and don't be a quitter..... And...."Hi pot, I am kettle...your black" ring any bells? 😂

What Manners stocks do you have?

One of the best scopes ever produced. Great price. I honestly can't believe this has not sold yet.

Working on two 28 Noslers he built..... This was the first rifle. Cold/clean bore shot, followed by 3 more. Sorry for the stupid sideways photos. Can't figure out this new format. The second one did about the same thing! The final load for the first rifle. Both of those 3 shot groups are in the mid .1s. 195 @ 3124fps. And the final load for the second rifle. 195 @ 3145fps into the low .2s (bottom right if the photo was rotated correctly). -
If you get onXmaps, and there is public land in there, it is legal to hunt. And it is illegal for anyone to keep you off any public roads that lead to it.

Heck, Taylor drew a 12AE late rifle tag with 1 BP. So I know miracles happen.....to other people at least.

Awesome!

As Amanda stated, don't pressure them to shoot. Also, don't pressure them to hold out for something bigger! I learned that from Taylor. Let them make the choice. Also, educate them to enjoy the outdoors and experiences. A successful hunt does not necessarily mean filling a tag. The experience and gained knowledge does.

452b264.....You need to buy it.....

With the 1:10" twist, that is going g to limit you to some of the lighter bullets. I would use the 100gr Sierra SBT Game King or 90gr Nosler Accubond.

Awesome scopes. I have probably 3000 rounds downrange with my K624i gen 3 w. SKMR reticle. Had it for a few years now. Actually is my go-to scope for load development. It has been on no less than 20 different rifles (from .22-250 to .338 Edge) for load development purposes. Always goes back to exact zero on the rifle it resides on. Tracks perfectly every time, returns to zero every time, excellent glass, best reticle I own, great ergonomics, durable, excellent low light, best FOV in it's class. One of only 2 scopes that had zero tracking errors in PRB testing. Color is not quite as good as my S&Bs, or Tangent Thetas, but still great. Good depth of field, good contrast, some people complain about the chromatic aberration but I have never noticed it at all. Eye box is very forgiving, but eye relief is slightly less than some others, so be careful behind a big hard kicking magnum. I would buy another one in a heartbeat depending on what I was building. I have shot mine out past a mile on my 6.5SLR. The 3-18×50 & 5-25×56 are supposed to be even better. Soooo worth the price!

Scary.
