300 Win Mag hunting loadslancetkenyon replied to no worries's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing I can't tell you what the 30+ other Hybrids and other "Match" bullets looked like or weighed after killing our big game....because they all exited. Except this .308 175 SMK @ 3300mv @ 160 yards from a bull elk.

Never thought i would turn this tag back inlancetkenyon replied to codyhuntsaz's topic in Antelope Hunting I have heard from 3 reputable guys that have killed: 82+, 82+, 85+ in unit 10 during this year's rifle season so far. Those are just guys I know. I think people are taking one mediocre year and dissuading folks and/or downplaying the unit. No, I have never hunted antelope in unit 10, let alone AZ for that matter. But one guy laid eyes on over 30 bucks in 2-3 days of scouting prior to season opening, and claims a few bucks in the 80-82" range were seen and targeted. And this guy knows game very well. Maybe I should keep my mouth shut, and help discourage others from applying in 10 to help my chances next year going in with 26 points....

when an average hunter gets a strip tag. In the field updateslancetkenyon replied to idgaf's topic in Mule Deer Hunting That is a truely succesful hunt. Might not have had the final outcome you wanted, but a filled tag on the last day with all that effort is a blessing. Way to stick with it, enjoy the venison, and thanks for the journey.

when an average hunter gets a strip tag. In the field updateslancetkenyon replied to idgaf's topic in Mule Deer Hunting Looks to me like he boned it out and spread it open to let it cool. I only see one rear quarter hanging there though. I hope I am right... EDIT.... Saved the photo and blew it up....it DOES look like 2 fronts and a single rear quarter...…. If some A-hole jacked the tagged rear and head, post photos so we know what to be looking for......
