Thoughts on clamp on muzzle brake?
lancetkenyon replied to Viper's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Do they work? Yeah. Are they ugly as heck? Yeah. If you have a factory R700 sporter contour, you can get the muzzle threaded and a brake installed by a gunsmith. Much less likely to catch on anything, and way, WAY more aesthetically pleasing. Probably way less weight hanging off the end too. -
1. Blue/grey camo: I think it is for a Savage blind mag? 2. Blue/grey American Flag: Rem 700ADL 3. Tan/green camo: Weatherby BDL type 4. Tan/green American Flag: R700 BDL 5. Black/grey camo: Bell & Carlson Fiberglass (not Medalist), was on an Interarms Mark X, so Mauser 98 action 6. Tan (has some black on the back side I started to paint): from an R700 BDL. Has a slight crack in the forend by the sling stud. This is a composite, kevlar/fiberglass, and is very LIGHT! Don't know maker. Should be pillar bedded in my opinion. Located in N. Central Phx. near Sportsman's Warehouse. Pick up only.

Who's getting excited for dove season?
lancetkenyon replied to Goldfinger78's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Less people today, but great wingshooting. And, had AZGFD show up to check licenses and birds. I like seeing that. He even said to us, "You guys are slaying the Eurasians, good job." Great guy. 67 total for me. 6 white wing, 8 mourning, and 53 Eurasions. -

All packed up and ready for tomorrow. -
If someone has a kid that needs a cheap scope, here you go. Works fine. I had this when I was younger (like 25+ years ago) on my .270Win. Then went on a 10/22 for 10 years. Can be all yours for the low, low price of a 4 pack of Redbull. (Not that sissy flavored crap, the original, 8.6oz leaded stuff) Weaver W-9 II 3-9×40 AO, steel 1" tube, duplex.
