I could not agree more. I have gotten ranges on trees out past 1800 quite consistently. And one of the hardest places to range is flat grasslands. I just ranged game today out past 1200 in rainy flat grassland conditions today. Small enough to put in a shirt pocket, narrow beam dispersion for more accurate ranging, and quick. Love mine.

Sitting here waiting for my brother who is 15 minutes late..... -

I have dealt with Mike a few times. Always a great guy. Plus, we text back and forth on certain things. Plus, he is a fellow Christian. I have only met and dealt with one guy from this forum that I would not do so again. He stiffed me for $20 on a deal I had with him. I NEVER count the money in front of a buyer when selling something, and this was the only time I got stiffed. And I KNOW he meant to do it, because he pulled cash out of his pocket, peeled off a $20 and handed me the cash. After he drove off, I got in my truck and realized I was $20 short....on a $50 deal.

Carhartt here too. In fact, I am waiting for my brother to get here as I type to go scouting, and I am wearing tan Carhartt double fronts with a LS camo t-shirt.

2014 had it's ups and downs but finished with a bang
lancetkenyon replied to huntlines's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
2014 did not end with a "bang" for you...it ended with a "twang". Great deer. -
That would be an amazing thread. Trophy room photos. I might have to drag mine off 4 different walls and put them all together for a photo......

Go Devils. I am not much of a sports watcher at all. But I support ASU. My parents met there, aunts and uncles went there, my sister and all of my cousins graduated from there, my daughter graduated from there. I am like one of 20 in my family that did NOT go to ASU. I was busy supporting my family at the age of 19. But it has done my family a lot of good, and along with them (since 6 of them are teachers), it has helped thousands of other people too. And at least we didn't get beat by BSU.... To be honest, I would not have even known that except for SunDevil's signature line.

Sorry. That is all.

How about a little more info? What stock? Looks like maybe a McMillan HTG stock? What brand barrel? Stock or ??? Barrel contour? Looks like Rem Varmint/Sendero? Barrel length? Barrel twist rate? WHICH 7mm Mag? 7mm Rem Mag? Action trued? Don't hold out on us bud. Kind of like posting a silhouette of a woman and asking us we would like her......What is she is 60 and has a butterface....and is actually a MAN??? "would you like this" Then you get this...(don't ask why I have this photo) Bump for a seemingly good rifle.

Furthest North Youve Seen a Border Crosser?
lancetkenyon replied to trphyhntr's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Wow. Sad to hear. I have a story just about as opposite of that as you could get. Summer of 2013, I was on a very remote site in southern AZ, just south of Boboquivari Peak. It was helo access only, and we would fly up on Monday morning and get dropped off, work all week, and get picked up and fly down on Friday afternoon. About week 3, Tuesday afternoon, we see someone walking up the ridge towards our site. Not sure who was coming, I grabbed my pistol and AR. Turns out it is a 12 year old girl who got separated from her coyote led group and they just left her. She was seriously just about dead from dehydration. We gave her some ice to start rehydrating her, and took a few hours but got her drinking water and Gatorade. We called BP on the Sat phone we had, and they asked if she had guns or drugs with her. We told them no and they would not come get her. So she stayed in a spare tent the rest of the week, we fed her with shared food, and on Friday, we flew her down. BD met us at the bottom, and took her back to Mexico to some relatives. I am 100% convinced if we would not have been working up there, she would have died. God put us up there at the right time. I cannot imagine my 12 year old daughter, alone in the southern AZ desert in July. I understand both sides of the immigration issue. 95% of the people coming over just want a way to better their lives, but have no clue on how to do it legally. Plus, the bureaucracy of doing so must be a nightmare. But it still does not excuse the illegal influx of people, and I cannot condone it. -
My 11 year old daughter drew a bull elk tag last year with 2 points. I couldn't draw with 14. I think she slipped a photo of herself into her application, and G&F thought she was cuter than I am.

With this rifle, there is no need to pack it out a few miles. Just shoot from near the truck!!! Any Coues within 2 miles is not safe.

If the info is correct on the OP's header, looks like he is in Scottsdale. But lately, a few folks have moved without changing the location section. So who knows.

Reminds me of the movie "The Birds". Wow. -
You snooze, you lose. It was pretty good for a bit too. But...the most important part of the thread is the well-earned deer posted on page 1 at the top. PM sent.

We have had that section for many years.....It's called Conservation group events....we also have one called Wildlife Projects so when groups have projects they can post about it to boost interest and inform people. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/forum/42-conservation-group-events/ http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/forum/19-wildlife-projects/ Email sent. And I went and looked at the sections you copied. Looks like they are pretty slow, so new posts would help bring them to the top of the "new post" list and might keep them more active.

That is GREAT dog! My younger dog gets antlers too.

What would be GREAT, is if we had a section, or a sticky in each section, dedicated to events like the AES meetings and banquets. If there is one already, maybe members could bump them so they show up on the "new posts" when everyone checks. I would love to attend some of the meetings if I had some advanced notice. Seems like I only make one or two meetings/events per year.

Good price for a great head. If I did not already have 2 Manfrotto heads, I would be all over this.

What units have you scouted and seen a lot of antelope? I would put in for one I knew held goats.
