You guys should look at the 140MBs too. They fly great in several of my 6.5s. -
Calling all Tikka Gurus!
lancetkenyon replied to Buckwheat893's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
The issue I have with Tikkas and the .300WM is the very short mag box on them. You have to seat the heavies very deep in the case to fit. -
IMR8133 has worked well fpr me in big cases like 28 Nos, .300WM, .300RUM. I run it in my personal 28 Nos w. 195s.

You think I should step up to the 25SST?

Good shot placement does the trick.

I figured my 6 Creed was plenty. No need for OVERKILL.

In for the win.

Welcome to your new obsession.

The only 143gr ELD-X I am aware of is 6.5mm.

***SOLD***Rauch Precision Pro Series suppressor cover for a Thunderbeast Ultra 9 or 1.5”x9”
lancetkenyon replied to stalkincoues's topic in Classified Ads
Why would caliber matter for a suppressor cover? I guess it is 38mm caliber.... -
The 197 SMK is a very long, high BC bullet. 1:7.5" minimum twist requirement. I would not consider it for a 1:9" twist, at all. I would look at up to 175s. Even the 183 SMK & 180 SMK states a 1:8" minimum. Know this....when a company says "Minimum", that is not always the OPTIMAL twist rate. If you hunt high country, that helps with the air density and bullet stability. I have had great results with the 175 Elite, 175 SGK, 168 VLD, 175 SMK in 1:9" twist .280AIs and 7RMs. For the 1:9" .223, I like the 69 SMK too.

Shot it back in 2002-2003 timeframe. Had only hunted mule deer, and hunted Coues for 5 days. He was the biggest little dink I could find. Shot him on my last day and was really disappointed when I got to him. I had never laid hands on a Coues. Now I know....

Out of 96 different lots, there is a total of 3 bids...... A-hole prices. I wish I could bid $100....
-
To be honest, I am not sure if they are all even once fired. Might be some virgin in there. The 3 unloaded rounds took a good 3x3 old mule deer buck and a great coues back in the day. So you know they are lucky cases.

lancetkenyon replied to AZBUBBA's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Some great looking pups!!! -
I have 2 loaded rounds of .300WM w. 199 Hammer Hunters. If you need more than that, you are screwed anyway.

Busted....

Makes my mouth water...

Why cut off 50% of the unit to save $100?

H4831SC available, everything else gone!
lancetkenyon replied to SpotNStalk's topic in Classified Ads
I can pick up the H1000 for northAZarcher if he wants it. He did me a solid, so I can return the favor. -
30 would probably do it. I have 118, need about 30-45 for development, then the 100 to load up.
