    State Champions

Congrats!!! Soccer is most popular sport around the world. Just saying. I played for 13 years, and 7 of those years were all year long, both multiple indoor & outdoor leagues. There is no other team sport that requires the stamina of the players in my opinion.

I doubt any elk shot during the 2013 or 2014 would have any semblance of "fresh" flesh. It should be totally legal to take home, and then attempt to find the unsuccessful hunter if so desired. I applaud the efforts of the person asking if anyone lost one. I would remove it from the field myself with no qualms. Read below: R12-4-322. Pickup and Possession of Wildlife Carcasses or Parts A. For the purposes of this Section, the following definitions apply: 1. “Fresh” means the majority of the wildlife carcass or part is not exposed dry bone and is comprised mainly of hair, hide, or flesh. 2. “Not fresh” means the majority of the wildlife carcass or part is exposed dry bone due to natural processes such as scavenging, decomposition, or weathering. B. If not contrary to federal law or regulation, an individual may pick up and possess naturally shed antlers or horns or other wildlife parts that are not fresh without a permit or inspection by a Department officer. C. If not contrary to federal law or regulation, an individual may only pick up and possess a fresh wildlife carcass or its parts under this Section if the individual notifies the Department prior to pick up and possession and: 1. The Department’s first report or knowledge of the carcass or its parts is voluntarily provided by the individual wanting to possess the carcass or its parts; 2. A Department law enforcement officer is able to observe the carcass or its parts at the site where the animal was found in the same condition and location as when the animal was originally found by the individual wanting to possess the carcass or its parts; and 3. A Department law enforcement officer, using the officer’s education, training, and experience, determines the animal died from natural causes. The Department may require the individual to take the officer to the site where the animal carcass or parts were found when an adequate description or location cannot be provided to the officer. D. If a Department law enforcement officer determines that the individual wanting to possess the carcass or its parts is authorized to do so under subsection ©, the officer may authorize possession of the carcass or its parts. E. Wildlife parts picked up and possessed from areas under control of jurisdictions that prohibit such activity, such as other states, reservations, or national parks, are illegal to possess in this state. F. This Section does not authorize the pickup and possession of a threatened or endangered species carcass or its parts.

    Azg&f why 400 youth tags in 12a

Like Trphyhntr said, I have been in a LOT more dangerous situations on the Bab by other idiot adult hunters. Other areas as well. Been shot at numerous times by morons shooting at "something moving". Just glad they were as bad of shots as they were at target identification.

    Sendero 7mm re-barrel

I like Bartlein barrels. But....I recently won a Rock Creek barrel, so I ordered a .308" 5R Remington Sendero contour at 29" with helical fluting. I can't wait for it to arrive. I think any of the well known barrel makers are producing quality, accurate barrels nowadays. Bartlein, Brux, Rock Creek, Kreiger, are all excellent choices. I have heard that fluting can "pinch" the bore if done incorrectly. It also depends on contour and bore size. I would not flute a #3 sporter in a .308" cartridge. But with a heavier contour, I don't think it is a huge issue. There are plenty of extremely accurate fluted barrel rifles.

    Azg&f why 400 youth tags in 12a

In 2002, I had a Jr. hunt with my older daughter too. 1000 tags, and as long as you get away from the roads like you should be, no issues. I actually saw very few hunters away from the roads. It was really nice, and the does were everywhere.

    Long Long Range Rifle

Load the 210s for plinking..... Get some 230 or 240s for long range lead flinging. Not that the 210s won't whoop some butt at 1500 yards.....

    1997 viking tent trailer

Smoking deal. I have thought of building a similar setup. The tent box alone is $4K. Add the trailer it sits on and you are taking a serious haircut. Bump for an amazing deal. Wish I had the cash for it.

    Baltimore Rioters

If she was "mother of the year" this kid wouldn't be running around on the street wearing a ski mask and setting cars on fire. He would be at home doing his homework. Just because she beats her kid's butt when he gets caught doing something wrong doesn't mean she knows anything about raising a child the right way. But just because you raise your child right doesnt mean they wont do stupid things. Notice he wasnt aggresive towards mom, kept his head down and took the whooping, he knew the routine. I have known parents that raised several kids and some just dont straighten out. The kid might have been protesting, but he was NOT burning cars. Not saying he would or would not have, but Mom nipped that in the bud. Good parents have kids that do stupid things, even if they are 99% good kids. I know my Mom and Dad would kick my butt NOW if they knew some of the stuff I did as a teenager.

Why kind of game for first bow hunt?

If you have a "rifle" elk hunt, that is a general hunt. You can legally take and use your bow. Sounds like a great opportunity to me. I agree with the above post on hunting rabbits with your bow. Great practice during the off season, and really fun to boot. Makes hitting an elk at 50 yards seem easy if you can hit a rabbit at 30.

I have to disagree. I bet she whooped his butt often. Just a young and dumb kid. And she showed him, again, not to go against her word. I applaud her! You should have seen his shame in the interview. The embarrassment is going to be far more effective than a slap in the head.
