Pretty rare to get it back. I have had 2 stolen, with no recovery.

As discussed, I got you for 500 if they are the GM215M.

Bump. Had a few trade offers. Cash is King right now for me.

When Taylor was 11, she took her bull with my .300RUM. I add another vote to getting whatever chambering you want and adding a muzzle brake. That said, she also took an elk with my 7 Rem Mag, and her deer this year at 637 with a 6.5 SLR (slightly higher fps than a Creedmoor, but close enough).

If you had a fairly lightweight (7lb. bare rifle) medium/long range (800-1200) hunting rifle, and you had planned on putting a fairly lightweight high quality scope on it (29oz.), would you add an additional 9oz. (38oz.)to get absolutely top tier gold standard glass on it? Not for everyone, but everything I prefer in a scope. MIL, FFP, illuminated reticle with .2 MIL subtensions, tried and true tracking, used by military/LEOs around the globe, tough as nails, top 2 for glass quality. I can get this optic for the same price as a new lesser quality (but still high quality) scope. The scope that just came off and was sold was 35oz., and the scope on it currently (and temporarily) is 33oz. Not looking for suggestions on lightweight mid grade glass (like a Vortex PST or Leupold VX-6). Trust me, I have plenty of time behind all levels of optics, and cheap does not interest me in the least any longer.

Would You Add A Few Ounces For Quality?

I definitely went with the Schmidt & Bender PMII 5-25x56 DT w. H2CMR. Picked it up this morning. Amazing scope, I have been wanting one for years. I almost pulled the trigger on a March about 20 times in the past 2 months. But not knowing anyone that had one and not being able to look through one, made me hesitant to drop $3k on one. Then was wondering if a Vortex AMG might fit the bill for $500 less. When this deal popped up yesterday, I was all over it. No doubt in my mind, I am so glad I waited. Got it for the same price as the Vortex Razor AMG with tax, and cheaper than the March by a few hundred. I had already made my decision when I posted this thread, just wondering what everyone else would do. I ordered rings and level today. Hopefully be here by Friday so I can mount it up and go shoot it this weekend. I am debating putting it on my .260 however, and taking the S&B 3-20x50 that is on it now, and putting that on my 7mm. That scope is only 31.5oz. Save me 7oz again, and still keep top tier glass on both rifles. I shoot the .260 way more all year than the 7RM too. 1st world problems..... And Zeke-BE, you hit the nail on the head. I think I am done buying scopes this year...... -
The 180 Hybrid is "not intended for hunting". So you must only plan on shooting paper and steel.

Sold. Thanks Don. Nice meeting you. Enjoy the scope.

Can't wait to hear about Taylor's next epic adventure. Knowing her luck, and my lack of luck, she will draw either an early rifle bull or antelope tag this year....

We are all in at my house. I checked it about noon, and again at 2:30. Then when I got home, it was open!

Is that the same Dave who volunteers for the youth elk camp with the ADA? He knows 23 very well, and I'd be inclined to hire him solely for the fact that he volunteers to help the kids like he does, that's awesome. Dave is also a fireman in his other 8 months of the year, and truly a stand up guy. I do not know him from guiding, just as a hunter.

I have a running spreadsheet of scopes with about 20 different columns of criteria, color coded for pros and cons. Always updating it. Always adding new optics to it. I have my fair share of good glass. I have a few true top tier optics as well. Kahles, S&B, etc. Even my 10/22 has a Zeiss on it! An addiction. -
I am going to post this on Snipershide if it doesn't sell by Friday. I just wanted an AZer to get it. I would prefer a FTF buyer.

Finally starting to see some better bucks checking does in the desert. Getting more stupider too. In the last 2 days at work, saw twins 4x4s at 40 & 70 yards, and a big 3x3 today at 50.
