that is awesome. great pictures. I just went to San Diego from the Imperial Valley and was amazed how green our desert mountains are. lots of flowers also. I'm glad we have had rains this year coming around. thanks El Niño!

lots of great info stated above.. I started fishing on the New Seaforth out of Seaforth Landing. Half Day trips are good to get your line wet and learn a few things, Rock fish just opened up and the bite is good, plus 2014 was epic for fishing in the big pond and it looks like it hasn't slowed

just like many have said. I was born into it, as far back as I try and remember I've always been hunting or fishing. my son is 2 now and he will have the chance to grow into it also. He has caught 2 trout so far ;-)

what kind of snake guards are most of ya'll using? I need to get me a pair.

someone told me they use carpet under the shoes to cover track... might need to use some of that to sneak up on a buck

that kid freeman went to school here in Imperial high, his parents still live here. the town is pretty hyped to see a local kid playing at top college level. I'm not to much into college football but I guess I can get me a 18 pack and watch this game! should be good, good luck to both teams!!

one of my deer spots had yotes all over the place yipping and howling, maybe that's why I didn't see any bucks around. have you guys ever hunted to yotes in your deer spot, would the traffic and sound of gun fire move the bucks out of that section for good?

raining in the imperial valley right now, can't wait for the weekend to go yote hunting fresh track! great jeepn weather. pure BS on banning yote comps with prizes. there is usually one held here called "shoot a yote save a fawn" in the D12 area I guess no prizes this year, hope they still have the hunt.

thanks guys, yes cattle boating is crazy right now. everyone wants a piece of the action. that's why we got the condor limited load of 30 I hope is enough for us to fish comfortably.. On Saturday i'll be in SD for business and also hitting up the seaforth for a quick cattle boating mission on a half day just to wet the line..

even the 3/4 day boats are catching some tuna... half days even caught yellowtail... I hope the bite is still on in September, chartered a boat for 30 the condor.. when you guys use light line what reels do you use.. I only have a trini gold with 30lb .. so I would like to get another setup with lighter line.. what do you guys suggest?
