For better glass and less weight. The 10x42's that I held felt way lighter than my 10x50's. The 12's felt about the same, maybe a bit lighter than my 10's.

That's a pretty good idea. Might have to do this. How bout field of view between the 2? Any noticeable differences? Did you ever wish you had 10's for more field of view? I will for sure res-listen to some of those podcasts.

I was leaning more towards the 10's for this very reason. I tried them out the other day and they were just so light! I do eventually need to get a pair of 15's though. I have definitely been in the "I can't tell if that is a buck" scenario.

That was my worry with the 12's. Not being able to freehand them. I am not ready to purchase right now. Later in the year.
