We did pretty good on topwater there last Saturday-Tuesday. Consistent action in the morning and evening with the biggin being about 7 pounds.

Ugh...No elk tag for us this year. I now have 2 bonus points. Hopefully, I get drawn for deer. Gonna try and hit it hard on the bears this year as well. Otc turkey is coming up as well.

Haha, that was another reason I was interested in the spring bear hunt!

Just picked up my otc bear tag and am super excited for this year's bear hunting! Unfortunately, I did not put in for the spring archery hunt though. I have never been on a spring bear hunt. Are these draw hunts good hunts like the fall hunts? Is it tough to get drawn for them? Reading about some of these hunts is making me kind of bummed that I didn't try putting in! How are the success rates on these spring hunts? I tried looking up info on the g&f site, but couldn't find anything pertaining to spring bear success rates. Thanks in advance!

The best thing about spring Bear is you get to hunt Bear's while shed hunting:) That sounds awesome!

I picked up one of the new pse models this past holiday season. Ended up going with the Drive LT. $500 bare bow I believe. I love this bow!! Tried out a whole lot in the shopping process. The bow madness was another one that I tried and liked. Every PSE bow that I tested, I liked and had no complaints about them. You really just need to get out there and start shooting some bows though to find what YOU like best. Good luck!

Don't have an elk tag this year, BUT I am still trying to stay in shape for the upcoming seasons. Am just about to finish the INSANITY program for the second time. I did it last year pre-season as well and man did it help! Winded what? After that it will be off to the trails with the pup and regular scouting trips. All of this coupled with eating right. This is super important, in my opinion. Trying to eat as much fresh food as I can and as little fast food as I can, unless we are talkin game meat. Those animals are friggin fast, hahahaha.

Thanks everyone! Man, all this talk about bears is getting me super pumped for this season! Cannot friggin wait! I am tempted to just head out for the spring otc just to get out there to try and find a bear, haha.

Has anyone ever not gotten hit on their card and then read the results online and saw that they were drawn and g&f just didn't charge the card yet? I know I am reaching with this. Maybe, I am just refusing to think that I didn't get drawn, hahahaha.
