That Kuiu Guide jacket is a fantastic piece of gear. I myself wear First Lites puffy jacket. Thing rules. In my opinion, having a windproof jacket is pretty important. Seems like the wind is what makes me cold most of the times out there glassing. Having the windproof would probably allow you to get away with less clothing as well, being that it would block that cold wind. Good luck in your search!

If the season drifts into June, then it would be a good idea. With the exception of this past year, June is usually pretty dry.

Just wanting to see what everyone is using and why. Right now I am using as old garmin etrex. The only thing I really do with it, is mark waypoints. Never use any of the other features, haha. In turn, I don't know too much about them. So, let's hear it! Not looking to spend an arm and a leg, but do want something that I can depend on with more up to date technology than what I have.

Maybe, I will be able to snag one on Black Friday somewhere!

After 5 days of scouting and not even laying eyes on a buck, I decided that I would shoot the first buck that I saw, if I saw one. He isn't the biggest buck on the mountain, but he is my very first deer ever and I am extremely grateful to have the meat in the freezer! Next up, archery deer in January! Good luck to everyone still out! I will be doing a full write up of the hunt shortly!
