Yup, but I don't have to do much scoutin' for hers... I've got a buddy to do that for me. And If I don't have a monster Coosie found and sitting on him.... I'll just give up the first couple of days of my hunt and resume my hunt after her tag is filled. Jeff did your huntin' partner draw that 22 tag with you? Congrats to you all! CnS Yup my hunting partner drew the 22 tag with me. He put in for he other stuff on his own and is working up in the Sierra Anchas this week so im unable to talk to him. The good thing about the wifes tag is that its so close to home. I rely on Jed to find us some bucks in 22 and put my time into scouting Wendys unit. Shes hasnt shot a deer yet. Talk to ya later. -

my wife and I both drew turkey tags for 8/10. She drew a mulie tag for 19b and I drew a Whitey tag for 22 oct. We also drew whitey tags fot NM. going to be a busy fall. Hey Gino seems like you and I have similar problems how to hunt whitetails for our selves while simultaneously hunting mulies with our wives! Congrats to everybody. -
Just check the phone line for the second time this morning. nothing. I love this time of year.

I was wondering if any of you had any of the Easton CarbonAeros Excells (pre-slim tech) that youre looking to sell. These shoot so nice from my bow. i shoot the 400s at 28 inches. Thanks.

Gila Wilderness Hunting

I think Ill give him a call. Thanks Amanda. -
Ive had a few things mounted by Signature, but the last one was the LAST one. It was a coues buck and it looks silly compared the the two coues bucks Ive had mounted by Clay at Mogollon. Ive known Steve quite a long time even before he lived in Payson and I dont have any ill feelings about him, i just expected more. My hunting partner had a coues buck mounted by him the same time as I and his came out great.

My wife and I both have 23 whitey tags. Maybe well get to meet some of you other Zonies over there.

Unit 23 Coues for me. Hopefully well se some of the bucks we saw last year while mulie hunting. Congrats to all who drew.

Just a moment of thanks and reflection for all the fathers out there.

Ive known the guys at Signature a very long time and cant imagine them using racist comments especially in front of a client. Im very surprised by that.

I have seen tree many times and yes it is on the way to Hannigans Meadow, however heard somewhere that it blew down a couple of years ago. Anybody else hear this?
-
i believe you get a point for each draw, so technically 2 points per year if you are like me.

That is one of the silliest articles Ive read in a while. Just remember kids "in the wild wolves typically avoid people"

Got a PM on this site from an old friend (HuntnCoues) I havent seen in 20+ years. It sure brought back some ol memories of the cool things I got to do as a kid growing up in Strawberry, AZ: Duck hunting at Long Lake, Fishing for yellow perch at Stoneman Lake, Seeing big mulies in 6A and 5A, Left over tags for December Coues hunts in 22!, Squirrel hunting while having a OTC turkey tag in your pocket just in case, Catching trout in Toms Creek, Catching truly big trout at Potatoe lake, Frog hunting, Going swimming in Fossil Creek and being the only people there... Life sure was good back then. Im sure Coues n Sheep would agree.

Just wonderin how far you guys take your scent elimination.

Ive been shooting the Easton Carbon Aero Excels for a few years now and have had excellent results with them. I was wondering if any of you had shot the new version now that theyve incorporated the slim tech technology? I did notice the gpi went up a little.

"Idiot" New Mexico Game and Fish

NMG&F gave me the code name of Tanya Beyer and then the application number which looks just like a phone #. So I wrote it down. Then I had to explain to my wife who tanya beyer was and why I had her phone #. Thanks NMG&F! -
Im with couesnut. I think there should be a demising line across the state and any of those big, yellow, stinky, non-native bastards caught on the wrong side of the line could be shot on sight.

this hunt will test your mental toughness. It is difficult, but some guys have been very successful. make a plan and stick to it.

Units 22 and 23 have always had high bull to cow ratios. G&F has abviously had enough of this and is applying their "proven" mule deer management strategies to the elk in 22. Remember the good ol' days when the early 22 rifle hunt was limited to 4 points or better?

Over the counter archery deer tag gone?
4Falls replied to bowsniper's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I hope i never have to make that choice, but I may also have to say Rifle first archery 2, 3, 4 and 5. I prefer archery hunting. But I also just enjoy hunting. Heck I'd go hunting with a pocketful of rocks if I had to. -
Taxidermist Recommendations?
4Falls replied to BuckNasty's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Heres another vote for Mogollon taxidermy. Clay is the best. I wont use anyone else.
