DesertBull is right. Got to make sure all the VIPs and celebs get their tags. Then if there are any left the rest of the great unwashed can have a chance. -

Im with Huntn coues on this one... i love the anticipation too. Its even better that we get to endure it twice a year now. Probably wont draw anyway so the pre-draw excitement is all some of us have. Remember the olden days when you just had to wait for a silly pink slip in the mail? Or spending hours trying to break thru on a crowded phone line? Ahhhh memories.

thanks for the pix, I sure love 23.

Had the oppurtunity to take my daughters to Karchner caverns on Thursday. What a great experience. The tour guides were very informative and the girls learned a ton. Smack in the middle of some good looking coues country too.

4Falls replied to Diamondbackaz's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Ahhh. The good old days. Back im my old high school (Payson High School '82-'86) I guarantee there were enough guns in the parking lot to take over a small South American country. -
I bought some from Jim at the show last nite. Tried them out today and am very pleased with my purchase. Smaller field of view then the other pair of 15s i own but glass was extremely clear and bright. Thumbs up.

Another Endangered species
4Falls replied to KGAINES's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Thats how these groups base their data.... They drove around in their volvo all morning on saturday and didnt see a single coyote? Jeez something must be done to protect the coyotes! I was watching a wildlife show with my daughters about a year ago. The host was that dork Jack Hanna from the SD Zoo. He concluded that cougars need to be protected in the wild because HE had never seen one. These are the SO-CALLED experts. -
I took the family to the show last nite. Nice not having to fight the crowds. Stopped by Jim Whites booth bought som binocs and a trpod adapter, great guy! Good job on the bronze Foundryman! beautiful One of the girls even caught a decent trout at the G&F site.

Thanks for all the respones! I have been shooting the old whisker bucket, I chose it because of its simplicity. But now see the need to go fall away. Ive been lookin at the TT pronghorn and the Quicktune. Does anyone have any experience with the G5 rest?

Dang Gino... wish youda posted this about a year ago. Exactly what i was looking for back then.

Ive been thinking about extending the tongue on a regular travel trailer but was wondering how that would affect the tow-ability of the trailer. Does anyone have any experience with this?

What Caliber is most commonly used
4Falls replied to blaserman's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I like the .25'06, but ive used .30'06's, 270's, 243's and a 300 win mag to kill coues deer. whatever works. -
After I began reading this post this morning I was inclined to reply. Then I got to AZ Horn Hunter's reply and I just have to say amen to that. It pretty much says what I wanted to say.

it can be freeze dried just like any other set of velvet antlers. most taxidermists can do this for you.
-
I checked out the website and they advertise "thousands of unfenced acres for hog/boar hunting". Un-effen-fenced? Thats all we need.
-
I would say that webby, palmated, drop tined trashy antlers are more prevelent among coues deer than other species of whitetail.

Another fine bull for Mr. Dunn. I'd guess 369... roughly. Ha Ha.
