    Optimizing Glassing For Coues Bucks

massamino I wish I had a tag for the unit in which the deadhead in my picture was found. My great uncle found it many years ago and it is the biggest coues deer rack I have ever seen. It's crazy huge and has tons of character. People have offered him tons of money for it, but the most he has let people do is make replicas of it.

    Optimizing Glassing For Coues Bucks

Thanks for all the input guys. One month away and the hunt is on! I can't wait!
  3. Selling this rifle to fund a new project. Wish I could just keep it, but can't afford both. It's all sighted in and ready to go! The scope is a Burris Fullfield II 4.5x14x42. I've got a bunch of brass and some IMR4831 powder and a box of Hornady SST 130 grain bullets with about 85 left in it. I will sell it with the Harris Bipod and the 48" inch hard case. Rifle and scope combo: $550 Bipod: $75 Hard case: $20 Brass/Bullets/Powder: $75 $675 Takes it all! Make me an offer.

    Optimizing Glassing For Coues Bucks

CouesPursuit, Thanks for your input! My area is Central AZ chaparral with scrub oak, juniper, manzanita, pinion, etc. Elevation is 3500-4500. Typically thicker and nastier country than down in the southern units. I got drawn for the November rifle hunt and would like to start investing more time in a few areas I've been looking at. I want to make my scouting trips as productive as I can, so improving my glassing abilities is imperative.

Capturing Great Mountain Lion Photos with Trail Cameras

I've gotten tons of pictures of this tom in one of my hunting spots. He frequents my cameras often and leaves scat right next to it. Through the years of hunting this area I have found several lion kills, no doubt that many if not all have been from this guy. Would love to take him out and save the deer in the area. Need to make friends with someone with hounds!

    Advice on Hawiian Slings??

Hey guys does anyone out there do any snorkling and fishing with a hawiian sling? I recently inherited an aluminum sling from my grandfather and went down to the local scuba shop to get an new spear head and some new tubing. I am dying to put it to work and was just wanting to get some ideas on where to go and what species are legal to take using a hawiian sling.

    Coues Shed Info???

I'm curious to know if anyone has noticed a pattern as to where sheds are normally found. In my experience it seems to be completely random where I find them, but maybe it's because I don't see the pattern. Has anyone noticed a pattern of where Coues bucks drop their antlers? I'd like to know where a good place to start would be in order to find some of the browns from a few of the bucks I have on my cameras. Anyone have any advice?

    How much does he score??

Do you think that he will score closer to 100" with his new set this fall or is it not typical for that amount of growth in one year?
