I heard about the Big Bo contract deal too. It's probably all of the above. Then when they start charging cards there will be issues with that too.

The problem with getting together to complain is all they will say is we have had our results by the date they stated we would have them...... or earlier....... for years. If we get tags or refunds by April 22nd then they did what they said they would do even if it was a train wreck to get there.

No big deal, I'll get it all back in a few months.

I never could get good arrow flight with those, my Whisker Biscuit kept popping them off my arrows every time I shot...... Just kidding, never used them, I wasn't willing to switch to a drop away arrow rest. They gained some momentum when they were the hot new item on Archery Talk a few years back. I haven't heard much about them in a long time.

I must be really lucky. I read about these problems all the time and have never had any myself with the online process. Of course, now that I say that, my elk app will probably vanish into thin air and the G&F will charge me double.

I have seen the latest odds. 4% is more better than 3%.

It's not really about shooting at animals from that far just practicing out that far. I rarely even shoot closer than 80 with my hunting bow but of the dozen big game animals I've killed the farthest one was 54. 60 yards really feels close when you have been launching arrows at 130 for months. Also, the form and bow tune it takes to shoot broadheads out that far will make you a much better archer.

I've had 3BN and it pretty much sucked. Saw goats every day but was too worried about getting killed by meth addicts to go after some of them. That area near Concho is creepy.

A slider/adjustable sight is a must- When I'm sighting my bow in at 100 I can tell if I'm off by 1 yard on my sight. At 20 yards I usually can hardly tell if I'm 2 yards off, there is a huge difference. I don't believe you can accurately shoot past 80 with fixed pins. The sight needs to be adjusted to the exact yard. I'm sure someone with fixed pins will argue that, but that's what I believe. Heavy arrows- Most would believe you need light arrows and a lot of speed, not true. I shoot a 480 grain arrow at 270 FPS and can almost always get my sight out to 120 yards or more. The heavy arrows carry better, have more energy, and drift less in the wind. I changed from 425 grain arrows moving at 295 fps recently. The difference on my sight tape was only 3 yards at 90. Think of it like a rifle bullet. At 1000 yards with a 7MM Mag do you want a 120 grain or a 180 grain bullet?

The first time I saw those I was cutting up a WT that my buddy killed in U29. We dropped everything and were about to leave with nothing but horns. Lucky we had phone service so I searched the interwebs a bit. Think they were called Nasal Bots and are very common in deer.

Very low odds but it's possible.

I went back today and didn't see the goats but did see 10 MD bucks, none big enough to shoot in January. Still waiting on a call from the game warden to see if I can shoot the goats. I'll call again on Monday and leave another message with him.

Antelope draw odds make me glad I'm a bowhunter. It's not easy to kill one with a bow but it's fun as heck.

I thought they may belong to someone and they will be easy to find again so I left the alone today. I was going to call the warden but wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with this. The place I saw them just was not in an area that I figured they would be if someone actually owned them. There is no way a horse could get anywhere close to herd them. They were in a place I'm not even sure if I could get to them if I shot one.

I just got my membership to Hunters Trailhead after reading this. I've always just built spreadsheets based on numbers from the BP reports. I played around on there for hours yesterday, I like it, and pretty much know my odds to draw a lizard tag in Yuma.

So, after getting 4 different answers from 4 different branches yesterday I tried again. Drew a 35A tag, never been there so I get to learn a new unit and try to avoid any pot packing illegals. Anyone recommendations on a dual purpose self defense/Coues rifle?
