On my rifle hunt last October 2 site members and I were hunting a pretty popular area that is completely circled by a road. We hike out to the middle before sun up and start glassing. We notice people all over on the road above us glassing down on the same stuff we were. Little while in a guy walked 10 feet infront of our binos( he knew we were there) and continued over the backside of a ridge we were glassing. About a hour later we killed a buck off the ridge he was on because he was too busy talking on his phone. Lol

If you scroll down a few posts I did a backpack hunt back in jan! It was awesome, and there's tons of good info. As far as water, just depends on where you go. Some creeks run most of the year, and many springs always have water.

Sweet setup! I'm gonna try to go lighter next time. Just use a hammoc instead of a tent and stuff like that!

I carried 2 gallons of water. It was approx. 63 pounds. I packed some things I figured out I didn't need so next time I'll know.
