I used to shovel decorative rock on the side to make a few extra bucks. My Saturday is booked but I will offer some advice in case you choose to take it. Have it dumped on concrete or pavement if you can, even if it is a little farther from where you want it. Use a flat shovel and scoop from the bottom of the pile. It is MUCH easier to shovel. Also if you have two or three guys put one on the shovel, one on the wheel barrow and one on the rake to spread the rock and rotate every second or third wheel barrow full. With three guys doing it that way you should be able to finish in about an hour to an hour and a half. I used to average 2 to 2 1/2 tons an hour by myself. Hope some of that info might help!

From my fiancé, Whit is our 5 month old son. For a second there I thought were going to have a good old fashioned pair of Irish twins!

I'm new to the idea of shed hunting and have been wondering when the deer down here in the desert start dropping antlers. Well this morning on my way in to work I spotted some mule deer on the hillside. I had my bino's in the car so I stopped for a closer look and there was one small 3x buck that was only packing half his head gear. So I guess it's about that time huh?

My son was born Oct 15th this past year, and let me tell you you are in for a treat! Now you just need to draw an early archery bull tag and you'll be in the exact same boat I was in last year. My fiancé was not stoked at me being 3 hours away with her 37 weeks pregnant but hey, all is well that ends well right? Congratulations!!!

I think there are probably a lot if guys on here that feel the same way I do, but I love to hunt and I love to help! If you're going to be hunting any of the southern units let me know and I will be glad to come along and help glass, might even be able to recruit a few more helpers. I'll warn you though, be careful. Hunting coues is kind of like shooting heroin, one hit and you will probably be addicted!

Hunting Vanity Plates

Anyon know who has a greyghost license plate? Saw it today on I-19 and Irvington. Can't remember the exact spelling on the plate though. -
How many pits have you been around? I have had pits around me my entire life, and I disagree with your statement entirely None, and I still have all of my face and fingers.Hmmm.... Funny thing is, so do I!

Just for the record, I agree, that this dog should be put down. Wouldn't have lasted ten minutes past the incident if it had been my dog, but this probably wouldn't have happened if it had been my dog.

Line breeding is a type of inbreeding. Same principals apply. Any time individuals that are related are mated together you are inbreeding.
-
You speak of inbreeding as if it is a terrible thing. Inbreeding gets a bad rap, just like pit bulls. Any "pure bred" animal is the result of inbreeding. All in breeding does is magnify characteristics by limiting the genetic pool. Inbreeding, in and of itself is not a bad thing. However it does require careful management, selection, and culling of undesirable specimens and traits.

I believe this is spot on. I was raised with pit bulls. I can't remember ever not having one. Pits are one of the least likely breeds to bite a person, I believe the people's is people that want their dog to be human aggressive, the medias unexplainable hard on against pit bulls and the fact that if a pit does bite someone it is more capable of inflicting damage than most other breeds.

I had a torn labrum, not as bad as a rotator cuff and they doped me up good. Just make sure you do the pt and you will be fine! Save one pain pill, and then in August when you get that drop tine buck you can wash it down with a cold beer and really celebrate! Haha! -
Mr. Desert Bull, I don't know you, but I'm pretty sure I would like to. Anyone who knows who Gary Johnson is and hunts has got to be an alright guy in my book. Happy Birthday!

Next Governor of Arizona?
ylclaret replied to DesertBull's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I agree with pretty much everything you just said, except for the part about voting for the lesser of two evils. I was raised in a basically non religious conservative home, so naturally, given the choice of democrat or republican I thought I was a republican, but once I really started looking and forming my own opinions about what matters to me and weighing that against the two choices I thought I had, I realized that both choices are terrible. Neither party represents me. The things that I hold closest, personal, individual liberties, are squashed by both! So I started to talking to the people around me, friends, family, coworkers, and I realized that I'm not the only one. It seems that the majority of people, at least that I have come in contact with agree with me, and the come from both sides of the traditional aisle! The problem is that they are too afraid to vote for anyone outside of the duopoly! My personal goal is to get as many people as possible to seriously look at ALL options when their ballot comes out, and disregard all conventional wisdom as to who had a chance and who doesn't and get them to vote for the person they feel beat represents them. I think if everyone really did that, we'd have a Lebertarian as the next president, but if not at least the republicrats would realize that people were pissed off and were willing to not vote for them just because of the party affiliation attached their name, and maybe they'd change their ways a bit. -
Is that 175" of just bone? Not taking anything into account for the spread?

honestly snapshot, if you had a chance in heck of winning I'd vote for you no questions asked!!! Problem is, and I've said it before, it would be a wasted vote! I hate that it's true but it is! An actual canaditate that won't sway under pressure, has rural Americans in mind, and will actually do what they say (if in office) isn't a real life scenario. A canaditate that will actually do all of that honestly will never win, sad but true. And yes I realize your not actually running (for all the folks with no common sense)Thank you. What you said is true. People like us. that have backbone, and strong moral fiber, don't make it in Politics. Being uncorruptable, doesn't work in Government. That is the problem, Eeven if we had deep pockets, you can never beat the Government machine, they use our own money against us.I hate this line of logic. It's like we as voters have given up completely. "No candidate that I feel truly represents me will ever have a chance, so I might as well vote for the lesser of two evils right?" .... It drives me up the wall! And when I tell people I didn't vote for Obama or Romney, they tell me I wasted my vote! I voted for a third party candidate that I truly believe was by far the best candidate for the job, and they voted for the lesser of two evils, and somehow I'm the one wasting my vote? Oh btw be Libertarian with me! Gary Johnson 2016!!!! -
Unit 1 early archery, and 6a early archery for elk as my first 2 choices don't think the other choices will really matter. 30a and 31-32 for speed goat

If you have six bonus points, then to start the draw off you will have 7 random numbers generated for your application. The lowest of those numbers will determine your position in the draw. So a guy with no bonus points will get 1 number generated and that's his number. His may end up being lowere than your lowest, but you definitely have better odds of getting a low number when you have more numbers generated.
-
Where are you located? I will take the shwackers.
-
That gets expensive though cause mom has to have a license in order to put in so if you start now, that's ten years of buying licenses just to be able to buy points...

My bino's are 15x56 swaro slc's. My brother has 15x50 vortex vipers. I have looked through both, in the field, at first light and dusk and mid day. Mine are definitely better, but I don't see a $1,000 difference. In my opinion, swarovskis are the best, but vortex is a much better value.
