Upper part of upper Lk Mary, dam at upper Lk Mary overflowing, upper part of lower Lk Mary as seen from upper Lk Mary dam, & lower Lk Mary at lower LM dam. Yes, there's lots of water in Northern AZ!
-
Water is everywhere up here (Northern Az). I'm sure every pond & lake on Anderson Mesa is the same, but perhaps I'll run out to Mormon Lake this weekend to have a look. The pic is westbound on I-40 east of Garland Prarie.

Another draw??? I was wondering why so many not drawn on here

If anyone thought the odds for a late Sept rifle bull tag were not favorable, put those thoughts on steroids for this one. Yes, it's a lottery, but so is the Powerball. Now if there was no application fee... then that would be something. I wonder how many app fees were generated last year for these tags? I for one would like to know. -
btw, the Motorola radios say they work up to 24 miles, but that's largely not true. Count on 1/2 mile in the woods through trees etc, but not through or over hills. They are great for talking on road trips between vehicles, within a mile though, or while fishing on a lake & calling from shore.

What are you trying to do? Range? Hilly area? Line of sight is necessary for basic radios, but if you want to bypass all that, get an InReach satellite communicator. All you need is to see the sky/satellites etc. I have Motorola FM radios, they're ok, but limited range (1/2 mile realistically). I also have Yaesu FT23R (HAM radios) that I've used to communicate up to 30+ miles, but had basically line-of-sight. The "2 meter" handheld radios will out-perform the other handheld types, but does require a license (that's not that hard to get). My InReach tops them all, & it's not really that expensive, just use it wisely!

I've never seen Davenport Lake so full (I-40 between units 7W & 8)

I agree, in warmer weather they can get very warm to hot inside & the roof "window" acts like a vent for heat... it helps anyway. I have a Double Bull from 2005 in Predator green camo & wouldn't trade it for any other. Primos did seem to cheapen them up & that's a shame.

that would succk, but you'd probably never know that happened. My kids drew leftover deer tags in 4A several years ago, but typically would just get the onopened app back... like almost everyone else!

saw this driving home yesterday near Parks

get onX...

Insert "elk tag" for "money"... haha
-
hard to get on a chair lift with that kind of snow! haha
-
Don't you also need the pin# that's covered on the back of those cards to use it/get access to the funds? If so, when purchasing it you could see a card has been compromised.

I wonder how many are hitting "refresh" this morning on their portal accounts like we used to hit "redial" on the 942-3000 years ago? haha

its "fun" drama for some though...
-
"my" tag numbers are now gone too...
-
I can imagine a lot of potential issues with this "better" process. It's rather odd the results were already posted for etags, but not the rest which will likely change for the next draw. For those who are signed up, great for you to find results a few days before the the rest though. Regardless, I too will stay with the actual department tag issued for now.
-
so Eddie, if you recall, was your cc charge with your 3rd choice tag with the "main bunch" of charges or later in the day or perhps next day?
-
it's very odd is all... could be those 3rd choices were from rejected cc charges
-
They haven't for years now...
-
I see tag numbers now too, but not hunt number. This likely means archery bull as I seriously doubt we drew a rifle cow tag on 3rd choice.
-
I don't either, banks own them, but they do have a use & many here as well as I do use them. Several are zero interest for months now, & basically all are zero interest when its paid off monthly, not to mention relatively secure regarding fraud (by that I mean you aren't liable for fraudulent charges if you pay attention). Personally I preferred sending in money orders, but those days are long gone so you have to adapt... That said, sorry for your loss, that really sucks.

I hate to say it (but not really), 3 of us just got hit including myself too... Unreal!

I will say this much, for those with tags, we've been hammered with snow this year up north. Looks promising so far with moisture so you've likely got that in your favor too! Hopefully the summer rains don't disappoint either!
