Where are you located? I'll buy the scope if we can get together. I am in Coolidge right now. Will be traveling to Page soon. Let me know. Thanks, Rick -
DB, I'll take it pending seeing pictures and it is as you say. If it is easier email pictures to kfcpage@cableone.net. Thanks, Rick

Is it 30mm? What is the model number? Thanks, Rick

I heard they are made in Russia. They were imported by Charles Daly before. They are not made by Remington. Make sure you physically handle one before you buy. Everything I have read is that they are junk. Buy a CZ if you like the style.

I'll take it. I will call you for details. Thanks, Rick

Tony, My uncle did pass away a couple of years ago. Liver cancer. There were 4 of us with you. My uncle, my cousins Dave, Don and me. Dave is somewhere in Phoenix and Don lives in Texas. You had a friend with you that had a Polish last name. He is the one in the picture I think. Do you remember him coming back to camp and telling us about the lion he saw chasing a doe? The strip was a bust. You were gone all day and came back very tired and told us about chasing a big 4 point in the sage. To this day the biggest buck I have ever seen alive was on the strip.

Tony, That was my uncle's truck. He purchased it just before the hunt. We thought it was first class. The truck he traded in had a cab high camper and 4 of us were sleeping in it. It was not alot of fun. If you find any more pictures of that hunt or the one we went to the strip could you email them to me? I was too young, dumb, and poor to have a camera. Thanks for sharing, Rick I will PM you my email address.

Tony, Your pictures bring back some great memories! I was on that Kaibab hunt with you. The best thing about that hunt was your grandfather's stories at night around the campfire. I still cook onions in the campfire the way he taught me. His vitality and love for hunting amazed me. When you and your grandfather came back to camp with those bucks I thought I would die! I was proud just to be in camp with STUD hunters! I shot a doe and couldn't have been happier. It was my 2nd big game hunt. Rick

longshooter, If you are serious about the docters email me. I currently use Zeiss 15x60s, Swarovski 15x56s, Zeiss spotting scope, and Docter 30x80s. All have their uses and their plus and minuses. There are applications where my 30x80 outperform the 15's. I have been using all these glasses for 10 years plus. Rick kfcpage@cableone.net

Whats In A Name
pollohombre replied to GameHauler's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
I flip chickens for a living. Everyone calls me chickenman, thus Pollohombre. -
I think your load would be great. On anything bigger I would not use it but for the Coues I think it would slam them down. Velocity is high enough for 400yd shots IMO. Chickenman PS Do you have a tag this year, if so what unit?

FOsteology, I have taken over 20 Coues. They are tough for their size. I have shot them with everything from 243 to 338WM. In my opinion I would use 100 to 120 grain bullets that are thin jacketed. Most of the Coues I have taken is with 120 sierras out of a 7mag and 7stw. If you hit them in the boiler room you get immediate results. I have found that noslers and other thick jacketed bullets gave me alot of runners. They can be tough to find. I use a 6.5/lazzeroni patriot with 120 sierras and they work real good. I have a 260 for a backup and it is loaded with 100 sierras. Our average shot in the last few years has been around 350yds. I think a 100gr bullet out of the 260 would work fine. I like hydrostatic shock. Bullets that blow right through them doesn't put them down right away. Chickenman
