Well my brother and I have decided to build matching 300 RUMS. I'm actually upgrading from the 7mm Rem mag And my brother was able to get the same donor action. Everything is on order, well actually it's all been delivered except the barrel blanks. We'll be using. x-caliber 29 inch 30 cal 1:10 6r blanks badger thruster brakes. Badger 0.312 recoil lugs. Rem 700 la actions. (Both 7mm Rem mags) Bell and Carlson m40 tactical stocks. Norma brass. H-1000 Vld 210 grain. The two stocks are being painted right now. A huge thank you to LANCEKENYON! He's painting them for us in his flag pattern, one in green colors and one in tan. Finished length will be 28 inch barrels. We'll turn the blanks to sendero contours on our lathe.

I've finished all the machine work on the one and it's just about ready to shoot!!! Stocks got here yesterday thanks lance!!! They look great!

I'm building a couple of 300rums I was lucky to get a box of 100 Norma cases, you do pay for it but like lance said it'll last. And the RUM isn't a target shooter either, it's a long range hammer.

I'd say 27 bull. Hey if you draw it I know of some bull sweet spots I'd be willing to share...

Oh and sense he's a FFL he can buy in any of the 50 states. Hope that helped

He said that if he has a copy of his FFL that it'd be a quick transfer from another FFL. Btw meeting went great he said I should have my license in 2-3 weeks.

Tested the 300 win mag brake. Extremely manageable. The 260 worked well too

That's the 260 with a vias brake and a X-caliber 6.5 1:8 twist barrel that was turned down from a unturned blank.

Well I haven't tested it yet but I made a brake for my 300 win mag the other day.

Following. This is going to be a beautiful rifle and I love the meaning behind it.

I didn't have to hard of a time finding it. I got mine from brownells but Sinclair has it too. Norma brass.

I have the 6.5-20x50 vplex and it's done me well out to 500 yards so far. That being said the vortex diamondback 4-12x44 bdc is pretty good too I've hit targets out to 650 with a 308 with it. My dad has the vortex hs 2.5-10x50 bdc on his 270 and that gun killed a yote in October at 500 with a head shot... So any of those would probably do what you want. If it was me I'd get the 6.5-20x44 bdc and a 100 yard zero, then your good out to 500 on the reticle.
