Some of the best poachers of all time were great shots and killed bigger bulls then most will ever see with 22 LR it doesn't matter what you use if you can place the bullet or arrow where it needs to go,it doesn't really matter you guys really get caught up with new technology.who the heck needs a 200 grain bullet to kill an elk our kids have killed 7 elk now bulls and cows with a 100 grain bullet,if the perfect shot isn't there even with a cannon don't shoot.hunters today just have to let it fly.

Whatever is Sharp and flies out of your bow like your target tip,other then that it doesen't really matter what you shoot. I have killed with Diamonds,Muzzy ,Satelites,thunder head 100's, bear, Slick tricks,Rocky's,Wacems Slick tricks and many more, it only matters what flies good out of your bow,

Listen to photofool they normally drink every day. Vowell, there isn't any moisture in the grass around Flagstaff right now, so they aren't getting it from there. Tdub, If you call when they are in the roost and ignore you, go back and set-up around 8-10 am they will usally come back looking for you. and why would you call in the evening from the roost they have 3 or 4 roost areas ,if they come back to where you are calling it isn't from your calling it's because they are feeding back from where they spent the afternoon .

The most important thing will be all the scouting you do for her,Elk are a little easier to kill then Turkey and javelina in my opionon. there isn't anything like hunting with the kids I love it.I helped 3 retired guys on this same hunt last year it was a lot of fun it was a pretty easy hunt even though they couldn't walk very far, good luck to your daughter, you should easily find her a good bull 320 plus on this hunt, if you put in the time scouting. why do you consider this her first real hunt?It doesn't really matter what hunt when your helping with the kids they are all a blast I don't think they care about a pig,a deer, or an elk, they are just starting out..

You should be asking your outfitter or the the ranch owner these questions before you book?

We have killed more bucks there then I can count on Big bug,I will donate 50$ to this site if it's big bug.It doesn't look anything like big bug to me.

They were going crazy on Saturday between 11:00-2:00,should be a great hunt next week for the kids.

You left out cedar arrows, and gamegetter 2's but you might be to young.

you guys drew across the road from each other, camp in a central location and hunt each of your units who ever is in the screaming bulls hunt there together, otherwise still hunt, sit water whatever it takes, i would have given anything to hunt with my pops.doesn't really sound like you have a problem you guys have 13 days to get it done.and sit around a campfire and bond even more.

No you don't need to spend this kind of money,we to were the guys whacking them with 7 1/2 and 8 shot growing up,we didn't know any better or have the money for high dollar shells.The internet has changed a lot of things when it comes to hunting. Most equipment is only as good as the hunter,my brother still shoots a gun with a Tasco and another with a weaver scope he still uses a cheap crappy pair of binos, I on the other hand have sold enough elk sheds to buy 10 X 42 and 15 X 56 Swaros and a 1500$ Vortex razor HD and I will bet you a Hundred bucks my brother can out glass 90 percent of us on this site.we really get caught up on what others tell us we need.sure it's great to buy the best but is it really needed.heck I bet I have shot more Gobblers with cedar arrows then most have ever shot with a shotgun.

I am Learning how to score antelope, can you post up all the scores of these bucks.some have said these are giants I know you make your living doing this, I would appreciate if you could tell us what they score.B&C or Pope and Young,no SCI.

Why do you need to have an elk tag to get in shape, you should stay in shape 12 months out of the year.

I had one inch this morning in 7w,and we problably got another inch today, this is the third or 4th time in the last 5 weeks ,we have received a little moisture,

Most kids say this, how many turkey tags has he had?How many has he killed?when i take kids turkey hunting and they see 300 hundred too1,000 cows they change ther mind most of the time kids don't want to hunt cows is because the dads have ruined the kid, cow hunting with kids it doesn't get much better.sometimes we need to step back and remember they are just kids.

There are bigger then him in 19a, great pic just way to hot for me to archery hunt when its over 100 degrees.

What unit is easier to draw then a youth hunt other then a dec hunt in 7,9 or 10,i am not seeing it can you tell me what units you are looking at so I can put my grandson in there,what about the adults put in for these hunts and give the tags to there kids.

Very nice on 18 rifle mule deer, also very lucky to draw so many tags even in the easy units, not so easy to do these days,

Last 4 years have been after the expo, I was told they got tired of llistening to all the bitching from the hunters that didn't draw. it really took away from the expo.and they are still hitting cards from the people that didn't have any money with this great economy. we will be lucky if it's even next week.
