Why would you put them where people can find them? if its on a tank they will get stolen. its as simple as that, I hate theives to, we all know people and once in a long while the forest service leaves there office to go to the woods, and pick up a few I have never had a camera stolen in 20 years but i don't sit water.and don't usually put them wherer it is easy access to get to, Seldom Drawn

Seldom Drawn replied to John O's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Pred, who the heck would be scared in the day when you can see and have a gun.Have you ever been down there and had someone sneeze at 20 yards from your tent at 2 am would that bother you? and what the heck would a radio do when your by yourself. -
Who's Not Afraid to Hunt Down South?
Seldom Drawn replied to John O's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
You tough guys sleeping in trailers or hotels? that aren't scared?I took my son and Grandson back down there three years ago and had a drug deal with the coyote's going down in my camp at 3 am I am no pussy, chased them with my .357 and a spotlight, guess you tough guys haven't met the guys with the ak's yet don't be so naive you are not in danger what about the solo bowhunter in 34a that had his head cut off with a machete.you want to tell his family there was no need to worry about hunting down there by himself.you must not hunt the really rough steep mountains cause that's where most of them are no buck is worth the risk of putting my family in harms way it's really sad not to want to hunt there anymore I have gone done there for over 35 years with a chance at a buck every year. good luck to you that have no fear.May God be with you. Elk Strategies-Elk Calling Question
Seldom Drawn replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
Some great pointers,I use Wayne Carlton's super blue double reed and his triple reed,I have been calling elk now for 36 years. I don't believe there is such a thing as over calling you listen to the bull and you call to how he is reacting.I am different then most when I call I want to sound like the biggest baddest bull on the mountain, many times all the cows have left him to come to me so he doesn't have any choice but to follow.but we all call different.you don't even have to be able to call that good, just play the bull and his cows I am a terrible caller but have called in hundreds of bulls just listen to the elk.heck back when I started we called in more bulls with a straw or a piece of pvc, we bugled with and turned it around and used it to grunt.good luck to everyone this year Seldom Drawn -

Don't waste your time on this buck great mass but doesn't have anything else. unless your pics are awful. 90 percent of the guys that drew tags of would shoot this buck opening morning 8 bucks shot by hunters that were guided last year hear in flag that i know of the biggest buck was 84 inches to me that's seems kinda odd to me when they are so easy to scout and find most of the time,it only really matters what makes you happy. Also don't know what unit you have so maybe this could be a good buck where you are. Seldom Drawn

Great tag,Been hunting 34a since the 70's I don't think i ever ever been there and not had a chance to harvest a buck where I hunt or use to just to many drug runners good luck and be safe.I wont take my family there anymore,my brother still hunts there every year with my nephews and they do good, and still one of the best units for a 95+ buck it's just not worth it t me Seldom Drawn

Because I like to score bucks since I don't shoot many I don't want to start a pissing match, Lance is a good hunter and has some great guides working for him.so I was just asking ,if you all can't understand that and want to bag on me that's ok.If someone post pics whats wrong with asking what they score.?I agree they are all great bucks, Seldom Drawn

Sounds like 500 of you hunt the easy flats with good camping areas, I went to 6a the last week of the hunt last year 5 times after work and could have stalked bulls 100 yards off the road with no one anywhere near me, it is pretty sad with all the complaining of so many tags don't put in for this unit if you think there are to many tags.how many of you put in over 20 days scouting for your hunt how many of you go up 5 days before the hunt and totally mess up the elk pattern because you have no idea what they have been doing for 2 months, this is a great tag, good luck to you all who have drawn, Seldom Drawn
