    Cinnamon or Black

This is a Cim bear we have been following for two years from down south. Another blackie has also been in the same are but the weather has been screwing up their predictability. That's why they call it hunting. Should be a great year for everything.

Although a bit off subject if you are wanting to store aerial screen shot or a specific screen shot of a map you can use an app called Goodreader. I use it all the time for that kind of stuff. additionally you can download the hunt regs, or just about any other document and store it and even set-up folders to organize your documents maps, etc. I actually used the new mapping feature on the AZGFD portal in aerial view, then used the tools to mark my spots, then screen shot it and downloaded it into the Goodreader app and it's a done deal. The app will also access servers and can transfer just but any file. Costs 4.99 and is worth every penny. I use it for hunting as well as for work projects. App works on IPads and IPhones. I also agree that Trimble is a good map app

    Wildcats?

I am an ASU fan however, I always go for the Cats if they aren't playing ASU. It was a heartbreak loss but the Cats looked really good. Both UOA and ASU will be serious contenders for championships in 2016 you mark my words. GO ARIZONA college football, screw the Cali and east coast teams. I would bet both ASU and UOA will be top ten teams in 2016 if not next year with the growing talent pool they are maturing.

National Guard - anyone have any experience?

Bowsniper, I completed a successful career in the AZ Guard and it was overall a very enjoyable experience. One of the post stated 60% of the military is in the Guard and Reserves when in fact it is about 49% of the operational force, however, being deployed once every five years is a fact unless you are in the band. if your son joins as an enlisted Soldier, and he is worried about his education being interrupted, no worries, there is federal law that protects his place at the educational institution if he deploys as if he never left. this federal law was passed in July 2010 and allows him to resume his studies where he left off when he left to perform military service. If he goes the ROTC route, same thing applies however, depending on the contract will depend on whether he has an active duty obligation or a reserve obligation. Either way, the Guard and Reserve is a good deal with good benefits and one of the few gigs left with a defined pension plan and health care. As one of our fellow CW said, the recruiters are just doing their job however, some are better than others. If your son has a clean record and has good ASVAB scores it makes his options much better. If you want to PM me to discuss further please feel free to do so as I am still very close to the Guard and would be happy to give you deeper insight.

    ASU

Think about this, USC, was top 20 team, ASU with a second string quarterback and one of the youngest D,s in the country, and they pulled it off. Game management is a problem however, that occurs with a QB with a few starts. This team is going to be a juggernaught in a few years and maybe next year if the D gets improved with recruiting and staying healthy. Go Devils

    11September2001

Totally agree Oneshot. CW folks stay vigilant, the average folks in the US tend to become complacent and let their guard down. Liked your other post today about the border. I have always said it is most likely the next attack will occur utilizing our porous borders. Case and point. I have hunted on FT Huachuca many times and the illegals are coming right through a secure military installation. He'll there are human trails littered with water bottles and backpacks with empty food cans with labels in Spanish right next to the aerostat Balloon. If the average illegal can get through, what about trained terrorists? Stay vigilant my CW friends
