HEADACHE

sweet growth! I like to see growth, it means its time to get my bow out and start practicing! I did catch a couple bulls, but couldn't get them in focus as they were running across the road and I never got in close to them. But I am learning and next time I'll get em!

I saw two little coues this moring with about two inches of fuzzy velvet. Twins with their mommy not 1/4 mile from my house. Neat.

I recently stumbled upon a nice hillside where I encountered almost a dozen whitetails. There were three bucks that looked to be around 14 inches wide. Really nice to my eyes. My question is: Will these bucks be here in the fall? Do they move their location very often, or far between here and then? I don't imagine much or any pressure from humans at all. Assuming they dont get bumped around or spooked much will they tend to be in the same area?

HA HA HA I thought I was the only guy to put on an orange shirt too!!!! LOL Thats funny, I must spend too much time on here . . . . I got flat skunked this weekend, mile upon mile of canyon walls and nothing to show for it but sore legs. Ugh!

wow you guys crack me up with that whole "don't tell a living soul" thing ha ha ha ha I'd tell Josh, but he won't ever tell me ha ha ha turkey! OK I won't tell you guys. I have never hunted coues before, only mulies, but now that I have a couple, I thought I might get after these little guys, they sure are different than those "carp" I been chasing my whole hunting life. I am going out there to do some elk shed hunting tomorrow, Hopefully I will still see them up on that canyon knoll! Thanks for the advise guys, this site rules!

May All The Trophies Have Enormous Whaletails Seriously I have owned Golden Eagle, Parker, Oneida, PSE, and Bear. Mathews is the best bow I have ever bought, or shot, thats why I will never buy another brand. Unless I got an endorsement or something. Archery has come so far in the past few years, that almost anything you buy will be grand. . .

I'll tell you what, after I arrow my first coues up there, I'll post the GPS coordinates here on the site and you can go shoot his brother. Deal?

sweet, thats good info, there is plenty of water and food there. . . . ummmm maybe I need a trail camera and some salt.

Also something you might find while Quail hunting. . . last year I saw three of these monsters all of which over 6 feet long in one weekend! No exaggerations! LONG AND FAT! MAN! the first one I saw was about 20 inches from my feet when I saw his head twitch . . . mid-air whilst I pounced backwards I blasted his evil head off with my 12 guage. Then less than 100 yards away I saw two more in a den wrestling!!!! They were HUGE! ! ! ! I was freakin out! I couldn't put my hands around them. but shotgun shells are cheap . . . Looked kind of like this guy here. . . . no thats not me.

ha ha nice finds buddy, but you got it wrong. . . you quad guys haul butt and leave the freebies to us slower guys. I got out yesterday for a few hours . . . found one sitting 15 feet off the road! I got a whole week for spring break . . . me and the boys will be bouncing the jeep around!

I am salivating here in my chair. . . . just wishing to find some bone on the ground here soon! Since my first two real sets I have had the urge somethin fierce. I spent last weekend out hiking canyons where I always see bulls. . . kicked up a dozen bulls, all still wearing their headsets. Gonna wear out a set of boots this coming weekend. I can't wait! And I kicked up a stinkin TON of coues deer . . . . some nice bucks too . . hmm . . . I think I found a neat place to hunt them suckers now. BROWNIES BROWNIES > > > UMM M M M M M M M M M

Sometimes I just like to join in and piss and moan because in 9 years I have only got one archery Elk tag. . . . it was my first choice in 7 . . . I always put in for archery and muzzleloader in 6 and 7 . . . . seems like I have bad luck ? ? Maybe this january-February thing will stir up some luck for me. I have gotten one deer tag in six years. . . have to go archery every year which is still cool, I love archery. . . and two turkey tags in five or six years. . . . Skunked on antelope though. . . I would hate to see "trophy" units or premium hunts draw so much more money . . . that would make it impossible for some of us "serious" hunters who can't afford such luxuries to do any hunting! If they make one unit a trophy unit, whats to stop them from making five or ten of them "trophy units??" Give an inch take a mile thing. If anything is attached to a Dollar. . . then it will soon become corrupt. My two cents brothers.
