Coues footage
Deadeye Productions replied to Deadeye Productions's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Yea that 4x4 still gives me nightmares. I missed that buck about 2 hours after the footage of him was taken. I thought he was about 20 yards when he was probably 30-35 yards and I ended up shooting too low. I got video of the stalk but I was by myself and I just set the camera up on the buck when he was bedded. Well by the time I got over to him he got up and walked out of the view of the camera so all that's videoed is me shooting with no buck in the screen. I really got to start using my rangefinder more then I do. Thanks again for the comments everyone. -
Here's a video of some coues footage I put together that I'd like to share. Most of the footage has been posted before so it might be a wee bit boring for some of you. Sorry about the quality I got a new PC and I still haven't figured it out my new editing software just yet.

Coues footage
Deadeye Productions replied to Deadeye Productions's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Thanks for the comments. This is actually a clip from a DVD I'm currently working on. I'm trying to help raise money for Sadie Anderson with majority of the proceeds from the DVD being donated to Sadie. The only part that will not be donated is the shipping costs if any and whatever it cost to have a single DVD replicated from the replicator. This DVD is mainly an elk DVD but there is about 30mins of coues stuff on the disc. Hopefully I'll get it done and have it ready by Christmas. It was in the southern units. -
I can't post the kill right now I don't have the time maybe when I get back from my elk hunt.

After watching the video clip from SilentButDeadly(Tyson) in the SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL thread it got me really excited for the upcoming elk hunts. I thought I'd do the same and share some footage to help pass the time. I'll try to post as much as I can between now and when I leave on my hunt in 6aw. Good luck everyone! Here's a clip of a small unit 9 bull I called in on my cousin Dallas's hunt last year.

OK here's the last one because I need to spend the rest of my free time getting ready for my hunt. This clip is from my elk hunt back in 06 it was the 4th day and I was calling to a good sounding bull when a little rag comes in instead. Well the bigger bull stayed back in the trees and didn't sound like he was getting any closer so I decided to have some fun with the little bull and continued calling to see how close I could get him to me. He got closer and closer until he ended up about 20 yards right in front of me. He knew something wasn't right so he started walking to my right trying to get down wind to see what I was when out of no where a good looking 6x6 appears in my cameras viewfinder. Needless to say this shocked the heck out of me! The 6x6 started heading my way and comes down right in front of me at about 30 yards. He looked at me for a minute then turn broadside walked about 10 yards to my right and stopped. By now I realized I should probably shot this bull but there was a big problem. I set my bow down to video the smaller bull and the bull was looking right at me so there was no way I could reach down and get my bow. This wasn't the 1st time my camera messed me up on this hunt. So I had to wait and hope the bull would move and give me a Chance to get my bow. Well I got lucky the bull turned and started walking away so I turned the camera off set it down and grabbed my bow but by the time I got an arrow nocked he was too far for me to make a good shot. I was pretty upset with myself by now because this was the 4th time I blew a shot at a decent bull because I was to busy videoing. Well instead of trying to chase him down I grabbed my dreaded camera and videoed him walking away. Well the good news is that I ended up shooting this bull the next day and gratefully I stuck with videoing my hunt and was able to the kill shot on tape. Not the best kill on video by any means not even close but to this day it is my favorite kill I've ever videoed. The funny thing is I didn't even know it was the same bull until I got home and watched the video of the hunt. Well hope you guys enjoyed these video clips and hopefully there will be more to come after my hunt is over. If not I should be done with our next DVD by Thanksgiving and I should have a movie trailer posted by then. GOOD LUCK everyone this elk season and don't forget to bring the camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqNv9UZJ_5s

This clip is from my hunt I had in 06. It wasn't the best year as far as horn growth goes and there was a lot of busted bulls where I was hunting. At the start of the video you'll see the camera shake all over the place thats because I was trying to get my bow ready to shoot and video at the same time which is very hard to do. He wasn't quite big enough for only being the 3rd day but it was still hard for me not to take a shot at him. Hopefully I'll be able to get at least one more clip in before heading out on my hunt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDCpnIV_tr8

This clip happened approx. 15 mins after the last clip. After the bull from the last clip ran off we work our way down in a small drainage that was holding 2 or 3 bugling bulls. As you'll see we were able to call in one bull and a cow. The bull comes in once didn't like what he saw and takes off but then decided to come back in for another look. My cousin had the bull at about 20 yards but never had a clear shot. No shots taken but pretty exciting none the less. Hope you guys like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQvl5i6m9XI

Here's another clip. This is from the same hunt in 9 as the first clip. I'll try to find some footage of some bigger bulls but I just don't have that much that I can post. The next clip I'm that loading right now happened 15 mins after this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVVn9T6hDlQ

Lifted Ford 93 F-150 Flareside $3000

Here's some more info its an LTD model and still runs good considering the mileage. I bought it back in 04 when it had 125,000 miles on it since then I haven't had any major problems. It travels long distances very well I've driven it from Sierra Vista(where the truck is located) up to the south rim of the Grand Canyon numerous times with no troubles. The motor is a 351 V8 that sounds and runs good. It doesn't burn oil atleast not enough to notice between oil changes and starts up with ease. The tranny shifts hard at times and has done this since I bought it. I've had two mechanics check it out for me and said the tranny was fine and it either had a shift kit so it would shift faster when used for towing or some sort of vacuum on the tranny needs to be adjusted. I don't know what exactly needs to be done to make the tranny shift smoother but I liked how it shifts hard so I never bothered trying to get it adjusted. The bad news is that the A/C compressor froze up on me last August at the time the air was blowing cold but no telling now. The steering needs to be adjusted because it turn sharper to the right than it does to the left. It needs new paint the clear coat is peeling. 4x4 works but pulls to the right alittle when its engaged as far as driving in 2wd on the highway she drives strait. Drive side window motor is going out window won't go up or down with out any help. Thats all I know that is wrong with overall I'd say its in good condition for how old it is and how many miles are on it. This has been one nice hunting rig for me the last 4 years and I hate to get rid of her but my family has out grown it and its too hard to fit 2 car seats in the back. Here's some more features Heater Cruise Tilt CD Tow package Lumbar support K&N Air Filter Dual Gas Tanks Camper Shell Power doors, Mirrors, and windows (atleast one for now) Rancho Lift BFGs 35s on 16 rims If you need any more info or pictures of a specific part let me know. Thanks, -

Free Dog - Now With Video Clip
Deadeye Productions replied to Deadeye Productions's topic in Classified Ads
Here's some video of my lab. She's the short haired and her name is Lucy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNVYoRC1ABo -
I think its a black lab mix don't know for sure. I don't know too much about her because my brother found her in Phoenix and couldn't find the owner. Instead of letting him take her to the pound I took her. She is still young and has great potential to be a good hunting dog. With a new baby in the house I just don't have the time to train her properly and she deserves a better home than I can give her at this time. I'll post pics as some as I can. I live in Sierra Vista if your interested please let me know. Thanks

Thanks Amanda... I think after about 10 years I'll get back into doing videos again by then I should have more free time to get serious about it once more. Between now and then I'll try to video as much as I can with my generic small camera but it will just be the hunts my family members are drawn for. I've got some new ideas that I think will make a great coues video. I know that there are more than a few guys out there that has some awesome coues footage so hopefully in the next couple of years we'll see some more Coues DVD out for us to watch and enjoy.

Unfortunately I don't think we have enough good coues deer footage to do a coues video this year. I've been trying my best to put one together but its just not working out for us. Maybe if we get really lucky and I mean really lucky this up coming year we might have one done by 09. Regretfully I've sold all my professional camera equipment and only have a small cheap consumer camera now so sorry to say I don't think its going to happen. Unfortunately as of now I just don't have the time to continue making videos. The good news is I think we have enough footage to do an elk video this year. I'm working on it during my spare time and hopefully it will turn out and be done in the next couple of months. I'm glad you liked our first video its always good to hear from people that liked it. Thanks, Joe

For all you metal heads out there!

After reading a post from coues n sheep in the non-hunting trip report section I was surprised to see how many CWT members like the Heavy Metal so here's a treat for all you heavy metal hunters out there. I made this a few years back and it took me a while to find the DVD but after a few days of looking I found it. The music is from one of my old co-workers band called Twist Dead Fable It might be a little heavy for some of you like but check it out its quite an intense video clip. I know it gets me excited for the up coming season. http://www.monsterhuntclips.com/view_video...3cb83dacb17b0af -

Do we have any Head Bangers??
Deadeye Productions replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
Thanks guys and yes the name of the song is Kleen but I think the one I used is the older version. If any of you liked that song you should definately look into going to one of their shows. They're Bad A in concert! They use to play at the Mason Jar quite a bit but that was a few years ago so I don't know if they play there still or not. Thanks agian. -
