That collection is about 6 years of my family hunting, about 6 people. This picture was taken about a year ago, the family got two more this last November that are being mounted, and my 11 year old cousin got a nice desert mule deer with a bow that was in the process of being mounted at the time of the pic. So we have a few more to get hung up. I will post an updated picture when I get home in June. Thanks for all the compliments. sam

Here is a picture of my family's collection. All the Coues were taken with rifle, and the mule deer was taken by me with a bow. All the deer were taken in southeast AZ. This picture is also posted on the CW photo gallery, page 60 of the rifle hunts. sam

Amanda, Thanks for doing the research, something I should have done. I am surely glad that got cleared up. I think that this can be a learning experiance for all of us, I apologize to all who have read this post, I shouldn't have been so quick to jump the gun. This was the body of an e-mail that my uncle just sent me. It doesn't apply to Coues hunting at all, but being a US Soldier serving in Afghanistan, it just kind of got under my skin. I am in no way trying to pursuade the views and standpoints of anyone on here, but just wanted to expose it. sam " Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee. So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buying any of their products! As a war vet writing to fellow patriots, I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the ground fighting street-to-street and house-to-house for what they and I believe is right. Hello everyone, I am new to this forum, but not new to hunting and the outdoors. I am from Bisbee, I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and should be home in late May*crosses finger*. I am planning a shed hunting trip to Unit 27 in mid-June, where we usually do our archery elk hunting. I was just wondering if any body had any info or suggestions on where to look. I am not to familiar with the elk habits in spring and summer. I am thinking about looking in the pine thickets in bedding areas, how does that sound? Thanks in advance for the info. sam
