Thought I would point out a few relevant items we came across at this year show. Athlon optics is coming out with a Garmin clone chrono in April for 350.00 Leupold is doing a rangefinder that will drop a pin of the ranged object in to your mapping software. outlier rifles has the craziest new design I’ve ever seen and new trend in barrel design with a locking collet style barrel tension. Seekins is similar as well as cadex. there are a bunch of new optics options hitting out of Japan. I’m testing currently on several. Athlon, Riton, tract, apex. sky is the limit on suppressors with way more than I can count Yankee Hill has amazing shotgun suppressors, dead air, huxwrx is amazing, annochoic has some solid tech and even now Dillon Aero has an all new design venting on the outside of the can and a 50cal version. MDT has a new bipod lighter than the groundpod called backcountry and mountain pods around 6 oz or under

Ok everyone who is brave enough to venture into this new sub forum, here is the challenge, Every Monday starting on the 18th we "WILL" list quickly and briefly our accomplishments for the past week on this post. No excuses allowed only plans to overcome. Remember even if all you could muster was walking the dog around the block that is absolutely better than watching a tv show, it will lift yours and your dogs spirit and raise your heart rate. Good luck.

Having a really bad time with this industry, anyone have experience with an AZ roof company that does flat roof foam spray and coatings? Thanks

Talked to federal engineer (not salesman) at Shot as well as RCBS and Seekins rifles. Very interesting, rcbs will have dies soon (neck size ) and Seekins is swapping their entire rifle line over to new design bolt and action for these types of cartridges. The new Seekins is really cool 3 lug 60 degree throw. Easy barrel swap design. I believe tool less takedown on bolt. the cases don’t show movement in the body after firing so neck size is all that’s needed. (No data on case life) round prefers a 5 groove bore at 1:8 Less powder is expected to equate to decent barrel life ammo is now available ( recieved 20 boxes 175 terminal)msrp 59.99 Even more fun, 338 ARC -
Thanks for the info, my roof is perfect for 20 years so not sure why they suck. Great insulation. I’m doing ac units before summer and need repair after the fact and a full recoat of paint. Just have been through 4 big companies who are terrible service so I refuse to work with them. I’ll try this one.

Ok so go shoot your hunting rifle 47 shots and tell me what your SD is. All barrels move as you shoot them. Allterra rifles did a pretty good job on the info but they are missing the point. it’s not about the speed or pressure it’s all about the short barrel. That’s all it’s about, not more accuracy or speed or distance. It’s about having a short 20 barrel with a suppressor for hiking into the hills and thick stuff and hammering a big coues at 300 yards with one shot and not dragging a 4 or 6 in longer gun through the brush. imagine a 20 barrel and folding stock in your pack. -

The weak point will always be the case in some way. I don’t see all the big companies testing for over a year jumping into this new design not knowing for sure where it stands. seekins, Christianson, fierce, Aark, and more are all offering 7 Backcountry for 2025. -

Just an FYI I shoot all heavy guns myself but most of the work I do is on super light 8 lb guns in magnum calibers for hunters here in AZ so from what I see it’s a large market. The 28 Nosler I have for sale on here is 9 lbs and I have heard it’s over weight from several guys. -

Most guys I come across have zero interest in reloading nor do they have the time. I get a lot of request for load development. the testing I saw and talking with Manson Tools rep they are getting under 10 FPS deviation on factory ammo in test guns. 170 plus grain 7mm bullet going 3000 fps from a 20” barrel is a backpack hunters dream. I have not however looked at any accuracy tests yet. -

You will like that action if they keep up the production quality I’ve seen so far. -
Sent this off to one happy young lady, 6 creedmoor, HS stock, Kreiger barrel at 25.5 1:7.5 twist, hordady 105 amax 2950 fps, Tim hunter elite 1.5 lbs, bedded, 700 action trued face only. first group was Boyfreind then the lady had her fun.

I like that burst fire or something like that, its one of the round drum style with one torch and a slot in the drum to drop the brass in and out.

Sounds like a fun time thanks for the info. The restrictions do get frustrating, a 125grn limit you just lost every 6.5 mm guy out there. Fix the target system and let the guys shoot
