    Chiricahuas visit tips?

I did a leftover deer tag down there a few years back, had a good time. Saw zero reasons other than bears to carry guns. I did get stopped by border guard more than one time. I did get checked by game and fish more than one time. I stayed in turkey creek camp. I solo remote camped as well. Climbed some serious mountains back there. Be ready for some hiking from heck, trails are not maintained. I saw a little bit of litter with Spanish writing on it but no people.

    Long range archers

Your aiming from the arm and not from the hips. At longer range like steep down hill shot you need to keep 20 yard form on your upper body and bend up into the shot at the hips.

    An app for that?

Just bought the onxmaps hunt map for az. Very good so far. I really liked the backcountry nav app too but changed phones so went with onx . Shooter app as well.

    Travel Management Plan

The number one issue is the piss poor closures. Barely even a marker on the ones they do mark and nothing on others. They are greedy, they want them open for the forest service but not public so they don't block them, they need to just block the dam closed roads and mark them. Most people don't even know about tmp

    NFL Superbowl prediction

Cool story, a few years back I was passing through Vegas and my best bud talks me into cardinals to win Super Bowl bet. I put hundred bucks to win for each of us and they went to the super bowl with the steelers. Best football year I have ever had lol. We lost but it was exciting, don't remember numbers but was thinking like 4 grand if they won since I placed bet before season. I don't have tv but can't wait for the occasion game at buddies house.

"How did I live without it?" Hunting Gear

Any high end carbon tracking pole is good. Lecci is number one but I have black diamond carbon and Walmart cheapo. Both work well. Luci lanterns are cheap and work really well. They just came out with upgraded models, the conpany also does a lot of humanitarian work.

    Filtering Water

For sure the sawyer mini is a great set up I almost built a set up for that deal. One thing kept me out of that market, several times water was not to be found and I had to or me and my partner had to pump water from a very small puddle or trickle and with the sawyer you need to be able to dip your dirty bag to fill it or dip water bottles to us or something and that would not have worked well in these situations. So I stayed with the pump. If you know you can dip water where your at the sawyer is awsome.

Ya I have both those books as well, very good. His podcast is also my all time favorite. I never miss it. Wish I had television so I could see his shows.

Let's hear it vehicle options for momma ?

I was leaning the same way a while back for a daily driver, ended up finding a Scion xB 2009 with 19,000 on it and custom wheels. 12,000 cash and we love the heck out of it. Awsome little 30 mpg car with lots of room to boot. Never thought I would like it but it's great. Just bought my daughter a fiat 500 and it's even better than the scion. 2015 used with 13,000 on it and all the top notch upgrades. Paid 11,500 cash and at 37 mpg avrg it's doing awsome. She loves it.

    Filtering Water

Ok my two cents, I have used several kaytadin and ended up with the msr sweet water. I broke 2 of the hiker pros. As soon as you get anything other than clear water it will clog , with the msr you can clean with brush and continue. It has worked in elk ponds and hoof tracks literally. The msr has a relief valve that spits water when it's getting clogged. The hiker pro sucked the check valve inside itself and ceased to work. My msr has never let me down yet in 3 years of hiking and horse packing trips. Maybe 30 liters of water so far and some brown elk game ponds. I always carry tabs in my filter bag as well just in case.

    Boat/Motor transport help

Even my big 250 had a lockout at the mounting / pivot point that locked the travel.

    Boat/Motor transport help

I would say there are usually ways to pin the motor at the pivot point where it mounts to the transom. This still puts a lot of pressure on the transom. Maybe make a frame that still slides into a female on the back of the trailer and sits on the bottom of the boat but comes back far enough to have a standard support bar with the v in it. As long as you have some angle pcs coming from the frame up toward the back of the boat it should handle the weight. Still want to ha able to remove it though so you don't hit it when loading. Also it will be a pain to mount unde the boat but not too bad.

    Tell me about Girl hunters

First of all great job being yourself. I love being different. Funny how at a dinner with suits and ball gowns everyone wants to talk about riding mules in the wilderness, or running a triathlon. My daughter loves to hunt but she does rely on old dad to do all the footwork to get her a tag and plan the hunt. She will saddle and ride her own horse though. The other ladies I know hunt in groups with their husbands or boyfriends and their wives. Mostly cow elk hunts. Just do some networking and help out on other ladies hunts or maybe even put in with other ladies through this site and others. By all means hunt any way you can, also get your story out there when you do, trust that it will inspire others like yourself. Lastly don't go postal and start selling your ex mans stuff or you will have a tuff time making friends. (Inside joke) shouldn't be too tuff to find some interesting characters to help out if you draw a tag of some kind.

What was your most memorable Az Hunt

My buddies elk hunt last year was one of our best efforts to date, no elk down but we went after it and kept hammering and had a bunch of great moments. That will always be second to my kids javi hunt where they doubled on their first game on their first ever hunts. Both handled themselves and their guns like old pros. They are out of the house already and it brings tears remembering those days. Thanks to max for crossing paths with me and bringing this passion into my life. Not sure I would have ever hunted otherwise. Can't wait to help you glass up and pack out your girls first big game. heck I'll cook up their squirls or rabbits too.

the tag that almost didn't happened

Congrats man, have a great hunt and more than that enjoy the freindship you have. I've always felt ranchers don't want to be bothered, weather it's nasty signs or dead cattle heads on posts I just never got a welcoming feeling around private property. I just go my way and let them alone, too bad cuz I would make a good friend, and I need the occasional hard day of someone else's work to clear the head and soul.

    Let's talk tires

Almost forgot, I have never been anywhere but discount and even though individual locations can suck , if you call around and are reasonable they will work with good customers. I have 7 vehicles on the road and have had 10 in their system. I walked out the door at 1457. With my truck and 2 e rated trailer tires. Well under listed prices. The at 2 were 249.00 each.
