Spot and stalk archery coues hunting has to be the toughest hunt in a lot of states but for sure in az? Spent the last few days waaaayyy off grid with my hunting partner. Backpacks full of optics and warm clothes we picked up deer after deer and chased several. Up the mountains down the mountains , hours on the glass and hours hiking hear to there trying to get close. They just would not bed, they were up all dang day. When they did bed it was out in the wide open or in the thickest crap imaginable! We had a blast, I would have been fine just watching the rut all day. We did pretty well with only one blown stalk, we just knew not to push all the other stalks and backed out. Just couldn't get that last 50 yards. I've never been so happy to get under my heated blanket back home. lol. Wind was just cutting like an ice knife.

16-48 razor, some shots were with the 30x wide eye piece.

Thanks for the heads up, I stopped and grabbed the llano top. Loved it last week hunting. So right about fit, i went 2xl and it was just right, I wanted relaxed fit not base layer fit. I usually wear larger maybe xl but those were really small. Now to get the bottoms.

Where the heck can one buy first lite clothing? Out of stock is really ticking me off.

Looks pretty good, just never heard of this company? Price is reasonable for sure. Thanks

A great way to do that is to show up at a meeting and talk to a representative, I was given an email from a meeting and they respond and discuss reasonable items if you send them. I had several questions answered this way and some questions were even sent my way.

The Meateater: Federal Public Lands vs State Ownership
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to rossislider's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Listened to it this morning very good as always. I like the parts about the study of what argument goes well with non hunters as far as helping them understand why we hunt. Very good info on where points can be made by us to someone who may not agree or understand why.- 1 reply

200 is pretty short, you want to get down in the middle of the water column so that's why, I bet the bottom is 400 or so. Plus if the level fluctuates you would lose water in dry years if it was too high.

Make two more stocks and call us in the morning

Very cool never knew of that. I'll try for sure

All the deer shots were through a razor spotter with I phone at about 600 to 800 yards or more. I'm really happy with this glass.

That deer has the same expression as the one I snuck up on Monday. Lol I'm going to swing by for a beer and look at those panniers and saddles

Just found out train to hunt doesn't use range finder for 3D shoot, I don't really care for that much. Guess I'll have to practice that deal, with archery i don't see how taking unranged shots is a good idea? Maybe short ones but past 30 ?

I'm planning out my workouts now, I've picked up my training since August. I have never done this crossfit deal so I have some work to do but looks like these workouts are going to boost my fitness over where I was headed. I better get good at burpees since I may be missing targets without range! i just hope my shoulder can take the new workouts

Looks pretty good, I agree with the soda and snacks, I have not had fast food in several years, like 6 years. No soda longer than that. Actually I don't even have to try really during the day but dinner time is out issue, my wife and I love good food and wine, it's really tuff not to crave nice formal dinner every night. For years when the kids were home we sat down for dinner every night. I think if we could cut back on our forms dinners we could really lean down. My wife is clinging to her creamer like its life it's self, women I think have a tougher time letting go of habits or cravings, ice cream is home made in our house and I won't even mention that one, she would throw me out for sure.

Tater and teddy needed to get in on the workouts. White tanks 3 hours. Nuff said.

What's Your Fitness Focus? 2017 Day One - Let's Make This Hunting Year Fitter than Last
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to Healy Arms's topic in Hunting Fitness
Funny mark, I started doing some of the train to hunt workouts and found simple stuff to be difficult. Push ups sucked and pull ups etc. I can hike, run, swim, bike, no prob but push up like a girl lol. -
When looking at calories with the wife we found we use a lot of olive oil. Not bad fat but tons of calories by volume. I cut a lot of oil and my coffee creamer and I lost weight without much other effort.

Quick tip, cook your eggs in water in a non stick skillet, just a little water and the cover with foil and cook on low, will steam the tops to a nice easy over easy or sunny side

Ya I also just grab a yogurt and breakfast bar. Works well hunting too, easy and quick. I do the fruit and yogurt with micro biology going on as to keep the guy doing well. I find as I get older my gut needs more help than it used to. Exercise and fermented foods seem to be the way to go. Kambuca is really good as well, tastes like crap but really helps you crap. Lol
