Headed out Sunday for my annual but kicking bow hike. Trying some new ground this year, like someone else said I hunt some but mostly I'm scouting for elk tag someday. 4 tags in my pocket keeps it interesting this time of year. A little bummed to be solo but I have 5 days.

I just picked up a 14x20 Davis and am a first time owner, set it up first time solo with steel internal frame in 40 minutes. With the size I would stay with the wall tent for long trips. If trips are shorter I just take a tarp and cots and an ez up.

Ended up ordering tiberon pants per a suggestion from jay Scott. Hope they make it here before Sunday, going hiking with my bow.

Ok first lite users I wear a 36 pant by 36 to 38 long in pretty much all my pants , anyone have insight on the pant fit of first lite pants? Kanab 2.0 Are the kanabs the lightest weight pant? I am on the high end of the large and don't want them to be skinny jeans.

Any ins and outs on face paint? I've always worn a neck gaitor on my face but thinking of trying paint this year? What's good to use and get off easy enough? I'll be away from the truck several days.

I would think just about any of them would work. I love shooting ar and lever guns open sights. In fact I've never had a scope on an ar or a lever gun.

Long shot but dc outfitters might have mules in new river area. Mine are booked for me and apparently edge needs extra sleeping pads.
