4 days of riding and camping in the cool empty pines. A little lonely but mom came by to visit and I brought plenty of books. Pretty cool I took mom for her first ever mule ride and only her second time on horseback in 40 years. We came upon a coyote which we followed from way back and she led us to her den full of pups, so cool to have mom see that. Came across two separate bands of "wild horses" and snagged some good video. There are horses in some of these pics but phone doesn't make it good to see them It's super dry up there but the tanks have good water. It's just dry everywhere else. Be careful with flames and heat. I chose no fire for the week but I could have legally had one.

Been a while for a wild game post for me, trying to burn through some burger we made up last month so made some meatball style sliders. Buzzed up some croutons I made from a loaf of sourdough which I also made and added some Parmesan reggiano and table crackers as well as two duck eggs "thanks Edge" , tossed in a dash of Tony's and baked them on the grill for 13 minutes.

Here's some more arrow playing. Trying out the new AAE 5 inch trad fletchings. 2 different set ups, fiberglass shafts with both feathers and AAE vanes with 200 grns up front and also modern graphite shafts all with AAE vanes and 200 up front. All shafts are measuring in the 350 to 400 spine range. Should get some test shots this weekend. -
Hey john it was great to meet you thanks for the sale. My buddy Jim who bought this is real happy. Good luck on your hunts

Couple of buddies are hitting the Antelope dinner tonight but we will be at Desert Ridge with RMEF. Hope to see some folks there

Does anyone remember when the other big fires hit like wallow and rodeo did game and fish shut down the hunt that year????? at this point I'm sure forest service won't let anyone into burned areas. Would make sense for game and fish to kill the hunts for a few years.
-
I don't think the fire will hurt the dwellings , I think people will be shocked if it exposes a bunch that weren't known before.

Bummed for all involved. Let's hope all are safe and it helps the area for the future.

Camo means nothing to me either. I'm in for performance. I like my pant to be stretchy. I wear eddy Bauer hiking pants at work and hiking. The kuiu and most high end camo have stretch to them. I hate legging up over a log and you get like half way and your pants bind up and you toe pick said log and hit the dirt. Another thing these companies have is all the right pockets and zippers. The tiberon a are vented on both sides down the leg and I love the crotch zipper being a double for venting also. They dry fast also -

I just wish I could get first lite and kuiu to blend together. I like suspenders and zip off pants. That would be sexy, shorts with suspenders in camo. Haha it is AZ though and even in January it's hot hiking in anything -

Kuiu tiberon. Nothing else is as light and breathable. Price is better too. I would rather run all Marino wool but no one makes it light enough -
Need Help Purchasing "Primary" Hunting Rifle
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to rpowell600's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
That attitude is exactly what's wrong with this site these days. Sometimes a guy or gal just wants to talk to other hunters. Guys like me have very few friends and are alone with their wife most of the time so these conversations are hard to come by. Lighten up A little and humor a fellow human. You might make a friend or help someone out.
