so you went in there 5 days in a row? They only sell one pound a day? That's dedication. I snagged one pound and there was one left so I called a buddy and sent him in there same day but it was gone.

Spend the money for the good stuff. I have my dads etelon calipers that are 30 plus years old and still dead on. Starret is also good

If you want to do some tweaking on your arrows let me know. I have a bunch of arrows and components. Sounds like your not confident with them now so I would suggest getting them where you want them. I have cronograph and paper to shoot. my preference is heavy arrow and normal 100 grn head. I can make a few test arrows

I was just thinking about a topic that came up while putting in draw apps. How many new hunters have you helped get out hunting since you started hunting on your own??? I thought back and realized Im sitting at 10 including family. I was shown the ropes around like 2012 and since then have dragged a few into this mess with me. Sorry about the draw odds issue that creates.

awesome man, me and my wife are headed out this week, this is her first hunt.

I noticed this last few years the TV and youtube hunters have been advertising AZ OTC a ton,,,,I got out a bunch and ran into more out of state guys than AZ hunters.

We had issues buying the license, my portal account will no longer work so I had to use the guest checkout and accept cookies to get our license for this year. I also received an email after I figured it out stating the same work around. I did reset my portal when they did the data reset and it was working but not anymore. Hopefully the upgrades they are trying to do will move them from the 90's to the present. New Mexico apps took about 3 minutes and guess what,,,,shopping cart. No hassle one transaction. AZ apps took 8 transactions and proving Im not a robot for every one and of course logging in and out for security in between each. haha better than paper app anyway I guess.

Ya that’s going to look great out on public land. I’ll grab my camera and haul the family out there for some beautiful photos and memories.

There’s a lot of nice guys out there putting mineral licks in for cattle.

Where do you folks get your info on current status???? Tonto is awful on simple things that are very important and a search of their site offers no information that I have found yet

Funny I got rained on two days but it was so windy I never lit a fire. Left early too due to endless wind. Almost sunk the boat with it beached and waves coming over the back. Got tired of getting whipped in the head by the tent.

Thanks buddy

For sure pig archery hunts are great. Any archery deer hunt , late rifle cow hunts are great too.

Again nothing I see in this link says if I “can” have a fire in front of my tent. I know if I “should “ but have no idea if I will be ticketed or not. Oh well ,,, truck is loaded with wood so we will see.

So far managed 7 nights in this tipi and it’s been great. Set up is pretty easy and for what you get the weight is unbeatable. Maybe the only slight downside is the large footprint but it works in most areas. Using this ahead of purchasing one was a game changer.

Long shot here but what are the chances of someone having a high end TIPI style tent for backpacking they would rent out for December Jan hunts?? Really looking to buy the Redcliff from seek outside but they have long lead time and no stock. would love to try one out or maybe 6 man tipi from seek or kifaru. I have a Lite outdoors Titanium stove already that I use in a larger tent for the Mules but where im going isn't going to work with them and its 13 lbs so not going to carry that thing.

AZ G&F Commissioners discuss why they want to ban Trail Cameras
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to Sundevils79's topic in Trail Cameras
electronic tags are basically you use your phone that has your tag on it and when you harvest you validate the tag with your phone. I saw somewhere they are using it already but not sure what states. Seems like it wouldn't work good for me I never have signal. I just wish they would sell the otc tags online real soon. That sitting in the parking lot waiting for them to call is silly -
AZ G&F Commissioners discuss why they want to ban Trail Cameras
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to Sundevils79's topic in Trail Cameras
I posed the question of what was the reasoning for banning in another thread and it was never answered. I wasn't being sarcastic I genuinely only had a few guesses as to why. I use cameras off and on mostly in new areas to me to get a lay of the land other than glassing it. I have never set cams on water or even within 100 yards of water but the one main reason I would support not using them is just general pressure. No way around the round the clock pressure of humans on the lands. If you add up all land use its never ending pressure on the animals. -
Recently picked up the palisade 90 bag due to the fact that I have 2 of the atlas trainers and 2 frames so figured to save some money (when my main pack broke) and just convert 1 trainer over to backpack. I like this set up so far, used it on day hunts recently and hauled tree stands as well. Just returned from 3 days in the wilderness in full camp on back mode and it was a good set up for that. I just have one question, there is a zipper access on the back bottom of the bag to access the inside but the main bag comes all the way down past this access so its basically non usable if anything is in the main bag???? not an issue just curious what the thoughts were on this odd set up. FYI I loaded 5 days worth of food and gear and did not use the extra accessory bag and fully loaded water and food was 37 lbs. Pack rode nice and stayed tight, I did have to squeeze a lot of my wind checker on all the touch points to the frame due to major squeak noise but that cleared it right up. If I could change two things I would have given more room for the lid to come over the top of the load and a little larger lumbar pad. The tripod set up is really good. Hoping to separate the bag from the frame for some meat hauling soon!!!!!

Ya I hate squeaks, baby powder works well or dry lube spray. I have 2 cots that used to squeak bad but baby powder solved it.
