I can see you points but I don't remember mentioning the animals work routine or what items they may have carried with them just a simple tough hunt that some ffriends were on and thought I would share with like minded folks, I will save your notes for next time I plan to Hunt, and thanks for the well wishes.

I ran into this issues somewhat, I signed the tag over for transport then had to sign it over again to the taxidermist so my tag was looking pretty ugly by the end. I.E. blood and scribble. Here's another question related maybe? Lets say you drop a bear way back in somewhere and you quarter it up and prep the hide for rug so where do you tag the dang thing? I stapled it to the ear, LOL not really as I didnt remember my stapler.

I have scouted 22 several times for bear but no luck, I will say be ready for some heat in May. Flip flops and shorts.

I will have two tapes set for the different weight arrows and I will just remove it and place the new one depending on the season, my elk opportunities are so far between I wont be switching much. What I do is like what Cam hanes has I put a white dot on my pin below the optic and then set my slide at 20 yrds, then I can shoot pretty easy out to 40 without moving my slider. Takes some practice but no different than holding off for rifle shots, Do a search on trick pin system, I watched a video on this and its good info
