Very good video. Seriously solid. Big congrats on the great hunt. What a great blessing. I want to go hunt elk so bad I can taste the morning air right now -

Ya I don't know much about the Robertsons. I have made a few in educated comments in the past on Phil but I had only seen on e episode and it was really not worth watching but I have heard several times they are a good family. Maybe I will see some of their good stuff some day.

What are the axles on that truck? Both straight axles and what gearing if you know?

Opening Day of Arizona’s Cowtown Long Range Shooting Club - 4-Oct

Might be a good set up for some guys I know its tuff to find a safe place to go long that's not far away. -
Helped out on this hunt last year lots of fun. Any of the main forest roads going into 27 are good areas just park an get off the road some then relax. A lot of road hunting and the elk will get pushed around a lot. Funny thing is I usually stay way away from roads but I scouted several days in the wilderness areas and saW no elk but driving in and out saw a bunch. Make sure your up and rolling before dark. We saw zero elk in the afternoons. I will look at my map and pm a decent area but this was my first time in there so can't help too much.

Speaking of doctor visits I can speak to what really happens when you let yourself go off and gain weight, drink, smoke whatever it may be thats not healthy. When I started my life change I had just happened to have a yearly physical so I had data to go off of to see some progress. A year later my doctor took some extra time to look over my labs and he said if he didnt know me he would have though my labs were from someone else, the difference was that much. Keep up the good work. I am headed for my run now, Just do it !!!!

I heard that the commercial training deal is already in place and its some kind of FBI training. So they are already doing some shooting there. -
Ya best thing ever is bullet proof diesel.

Just stay away from the payson area unless you want to be up all night. Me and edge have old crow med show coming to play live every night during that hunt.

Its the boot. Mine blew off one time and did the same thing. Get that boot replaced.

What a beauty, Congrats. Just my inexperienced mind so pardon if this a dumb question, why not take care of the meat that night? Research has trained me to strip that sucker asap or meat loss is almost certain depending on where you are?

Very nice, way to stick in there and work around the pressure.

Need opinions on a new sidearm
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to naturegirl's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I have some on the west side but not the east sorry, I know I handle fire arms quite a bit and carry daily but I recently went through concealed carry and it was an eye opener. There was alot I was not aware of in the rules. I also learned a few new things on handleing. One thing for sure was that half of the class was so green and uncomfortable with firearms that it took 5 instructors to keep them straight. Half the class looked like it was their first time. I would think that Usery gun range would have some classes, I know Ben Avery does. -
I pulled an almost zero last week, I didnt lose too much ground but didnt get much work in for fitness. I did make the wife happy with chores and fixing one of the trucks. I had a posessed vehicle that decided to strand me on the way to the lake then I spent 2 days under it. I did get some good sit ups in I guess. Took the dirt bike out Sunday and got a good sweat but other than that Just dealt with lifes curve balls all week. Gym bag is in the truck this morning and looks like a good day for a trail run. I will be at Deems hills park at 5:30 if anyone is in the area and has their running shoes.

This is out there by the canyon motocross track and car track, cowtown I believe was or is that paintball town, Sounds interesting but luckily we have a spot near my place about 30 minute drive to shoot out to 2000. I have a feeling this wont last too long, I see Peoria getting closer and closer. Worth checking out the opening free event to see whats up. -
DIY annealing machine
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to DesertBull's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I go 4 loads on my brass before anneal. I do my 30-30 after 2 loads because they are tougher to size. I usually do my 556 while one of my buddies reloading and we have the tunes cranked so its not alot of labor.
