Ideas on conserving our game.
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to coues32's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
close some FR permanently. Go to preference points instead of bonus Clear cut sections of forest Controlled burns Dig more water retention catchments Like unit 8 Improve trail systems add TH at old FR that was closed Mandatory reporting across the board supplement predator hunting in some way Transplant Animals from out of state to diversify gene pool 1 year off after Bull or Deer tag, more for premium hunts like 2 or 3 years More shooting facilities with outdoor classes and avtivities for retention Biologist assistant programs for youth (assist biologist in the field on game surveys habitat surveys etc) -

Awsome guys thanks for sharing -
I have listened to his show a few times and for the most part I have liked it but this guy is doing like 4 different shows on several topics, he is a well spoken voice so they plug him in all over the place, They have had some good shows on there and some good info spreading the word about fishing and general outdoors. I didnt hear this show. It seems like if your on the radio 6 days a week including Sunday its hard for me to listen to your opinions on outdoors since that leaves you one day to be there???? I take that back I believe get outdoors is on Sat afternoon and he does a show all week during the day and now is doing a pilot on Sunday with Monica Linstrom whom is terrible IMO so 7 days a week and yet can speak on outdoors???

Do i have to show mine with a bow stand and Ross poster? You need to slow down a little I cant keep up with all your posts. I like my new Alps Bow slinger, It keeps the bow high enough that it doesnt hit the cantle on my saddle

Barrel break-in results
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to Couestracker's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Now just have him load 7828 at different powder charges 3 rounds at one charge and 3 at another so on and see what charge works well on groups. Make sure he keeps the oal the same throuout. One more day of shooting about 12 rounds and you could be half on group size. -
Looks like Ben avery

Usually guys butcher up the animal and hang the quarters for the packer. Haul the antlers and straps out on their backs. Quarters should be fine up there for a few days, would be good for them to hang anyway. As long as nothing gets into them of course.
