Can one get assistance in getting a downed elk out? Where are there game processing facilities?

Nosler store http://www.nosler.com has lots of factory seconds in several calibers they're bullets with cosmetic blemishes,spoke to a nosler salesman and he said they all hunt with the 2nds cuts down on expenses.

I live in s. cal, after u of az in '63 went back to nys, no jobs in wildlife, got hired as a probation officer stuck with it took same job in san bernardino co where i retired.

Thanks for the info, I've never hunted big game in AZ just small and at one time as a student with a collection permit.Have hunted in CO & ID.I was informed you're the expert on san carlos wildlife. How large is the elk herd and how difficult is it to locate the elk in the hilltop area?
